Installing a van window takes more than just setting the glass in place. This adhesive bond is what keeps it sealed and secure so it doesnt leak or come loose. Includes the urethane and primer needed to install one small window correctly.
When you install a van window, the glass is bonded directly to the painted metal with urethane adhesive. That bead is what holds the window in place and keeps water out. Start by applying the included primer to the van wall to prepare the surface. Use a caulk gun with at least a 24 to 1 thrust ratio to lay a consistent urethane bead around the opening, then set the window in place. After the window is positioned, leave the tape securing it to the van for at least 24 hours to allow full cure. Safe drive-away time is about 6 hours, so the window's secured and sealed before you're back on the road.
