Ellen: Hey everyone I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the custom pod for your edge monitors. This allows you to have a dedicated spot to mount your edge monitor in your truck, and be able to easily see that while you're driving. That way, you're not having to crane around and find your monitor, it's not going to be bouncing around in your cab. You can have this dedicated spot that looks like it just came from the factory, and you can even paint this to match with the interior so it's even more seamless. It's made out of a rigid plastic, so it should last for a long time. And again, it is going to be custom molded, or it is custom molded to match right along with the contours of your dash.
So it's going to be a really nice flush fit to that dash.This particular pod is a fit for the 2003 through 2004 Ford F150, or excuse me, F250 and 350 King Ranch. And this also works for the 2000 through 2005 Ford Excursion. So it should just mount right up to those dashes. Let's take a closer look at what comes in our kit and make sure that this is going to be an easy install for you.So there's no tools required to get this installed. The only thing you'll need to grab is a lint free cloth, and then some 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean off the area, clean off the inside of the pod.
That's going to make sure that these double stick connectors are going to have a really nice adherence to the surfaces. Make sure that there's no dust, dirt, oils or anything to get in the way of that adhesive doing its job. So you get the pod itself, which will accept our edge monitors, and then we'll get a couple of adapters for the different kinds of monitors. So this is going to work for the CS2, this will be for the CST2 and CST3. There's a little bit more in the instructions on how to get those in place.If you are going to use the grommet, which these also need to use, so you'll put this in place if you're going to use either one of these, you want to make sure that you get the lip fully seated around.
There's kind of this dual lip here. So you want to make sure that the edge of the pod is sitting right in between there, and that it has a really nice, good flush seat. But before you do that, you'll need to kind of mock it up, make sure that it's sitting nice and level on the dash, and then grab some masking tape as well, and look at where this is going to sit. So you want to make sure that everything's sitting really nice and level. Again, it has really good instructions that lay out that whole process.And another thing to pay attention to is, it's kind of faint on the inside here, so I doubt you'll be able to see it on camera, but there's going to be a couple of little lines and a number on each side.
So we'll have one, two and three. And those are going to correspond with the numbers on these angled brackets. So they are specific. You want to make sure that you know which one goes where, and maybe even grab a permanent marker and write that out a little bit more clearly on each one of those tabs, just to make sure that it's really clear. And you can even mark that on the inside there as well, to help you in that install process. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward. You just fit it up, take your time, make sure it's sitting really nicely. You don't want to crush these dual lock connectors.One side does need to go specifically on the bracket side, and the other one will go on the dash side. Again, all of this is in the instructions. They lay it out really nicely to make it really easy to get this installed. So that's one thing I like to see, is easy to read instructions that even have some pictures of what it will look like for your particular vehicle in the back of the instruction. So here is the King Ranch. So it should look like that more or less whenever you get it installed. All in all, I think it's a really nice system. Again, it gives you that dedicated spot for your edge monitor, makes it easy to view and should be a pretty nice addition to your vehicle. Received my Evolution Edge CS2 (Gas), download file to unit (2006 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7l), installed the tuner in my truck and within 15 minutes it was all done.
I have tuned the truck to Level 4 (performance) made a big noticeable difference and turned off the MDS ...
I mainly bought the unit for the extra HP and Torque to pull my 5th wheel, we are taking it this week on vacation so I'll get a better idea and feeling on the Towing tune.
Fingers crossed. Oh here is a pic of the unit with the dash mount ... looks great !

This was installed in a ‘13 Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab. Install was easy and took about 10-15 min and only required a 10mm socket and a screw driver. Fit is perfect and seamless. No need to paint in this application because it was already a perfect match. Looks as if the truck came from the factory with this installed and a much better, sturdier option than the windshield suction cup mount that comes with the tuner.
The pod looks like it was made for my vehicle (the color match was almost perfect for my color interior) it was easy to install and looks awsome

Just got programmer installed with dash pod, I haven't driven for any amount of time with the programmer running, but the programmer was easy to set up. It has a ton of functions to customize programming, I'm looking forward to using for towing 33 ft fifth wheel. The installation was fairly easy on an 03 GMC Sierra.
Installed within 5-10 minutes. Fit Perfectly, on edge products website it says this fits 2500 cummins but through the forums I read it would work on the 1500 Rams also, and it did! Fit Perfectly on my 2014 1500 Ram EcoDiesel to Mount my Edge CTS2.
Awesome dash pod. I used this on my 4th Gen Ram 1500 to mount led bar light switches. Fits the 1500 perfectly.
