This 55-amp power center replaces your existing WFCO panel with an all-in-one converter charger and AC/DC distribution, providing more capacity for higher-draw systems along with multi-stage charging and automatic lithium detection.

Many RV owners upgrade their power center because the factory converter never charged batteries the way it should. Slow recovery times and batteries that never quite reach full are common signs. The WFCO Power Center is designed to fix that by using charging profiles matched to your battery type. Lead-acid batteries receive true 3-stage charging with higher voltage during bulk charging, then step down to normal, and trickle/float stages as they recover. Lithium batteries follow a two-stage process designed for faster, more consistent charging. The result is quicker recharge times and less day-to-day strain on your batteries, helping them last longer and perform more reliably.
Upgrading to lithium batteries is usually about better performance and long-term value, not extra complexity. This power center uses WFCO's Auto-Detect technology to recognize lithium or lead-acid batteries and apply the correct charging profile automatically. There are no switches to set and no settings to guess at. Once installed, it charges your batteries the way they are designed to be charged, helping you get the faster recovery, longer service life, and consistent performance that make lithium a worthwhile upgrade for your RV.

Instead of juggling separate components, the WFCO Power Center combines your AC breaker panel, DC fuse block, and converter into one integrated unit. This larger 55-amp design provides additional capacity for RVs running higher-demand equipment. With 10 AC circuits, and 11 DC circuits (including two 30-amp), it's well suited for appliances like slide-outs, refrigerators, and other high-draw systems, along with everyday outlets, lighting, and onboard electronics. The power center accepts standard residential breakers and automotive fuses (not included). You can check the product manual for recommended brands and styles, which are easy to find and purchase from most hardware or RV stores.
Electrical upgrades only bring peace of mind if they operate safely day after day. This power center is built with protections against overheating, over-current conditions, and reverse polarity connections, so a wiring mistake or heavy load doesn't turn into a bigger problem. LED indicator lights provide quick visual feedback to help identify power and fault conditions, making it easier to spot issues during troubleshooting. The cooling fan is designed to pull air in and exhaust it out the front of the unit, which helps move heat away from the components instead of letting it build up behind the panel. That matters in tight RV compartments where airflow is limited. If operating limits are ever exceeded, the system can shut itself down to protect the electronics. It's built-in safety that's reassuring when you're upgrading battery types or replacing an older converter that didn't manage heat nearly as well.

This WF-8955 power center is designed for RVs that need more electrical capacity than smaller factory-installed panels. It commonly replaces larger WFCO power centers and can also be used as an upgrade or replacement for other brands with similar layouts and load requirements. The rear mounting location for a transfer switch helps keep upgrades organized and accessible. Because this is a physically larger unit, it's important to verify cutout dimensions, wiring, and available space before installing. Some installations may require minor adjustments depending on the original setup. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today, we're gonna take a look at this WFCO 12-Volt Auto Detect Power Center with 11 circuits and battery recognition. Now this power center right here, if you pop the door in the front, it'll release and fold down. This is gonna give you plenty of DC circuits for running higher-demand features like slide outs and electric awnings. This power center here is gonna have 11 DC circuits, which will include nine 20-amp and two 30-amp DC circuits. So this is gonna allow you to install more high-powered consuming appliances like the slide out motors, electric awnings, or electric beds.
Maximum power input on this is 940 watts. Continuous power output is 748 watts, and the output DC current is 55 or 50 amps. Now this will adapt automatically to your battery type, stays quiet, uses simple LEDs to show how everything is working or when there's a problem. The LEDs are right are in here, so even when you close the door, you'll see there's a little window here that you'll be able to see the lights through. Now this does use an Auto-Detect technology, which will recognize your battery's chemistry, and automatically adjust the charging profile that match.
So if you're using a lead acid battery, it's gonna have a three-stage converter, which will handle every charging need for your RV, or if you're using a lithium battery, it uses a multi-stage process to ensure safe operating voltage, replaces battery energy, and it'll balance the battery cells. It does use zero clearance design, so it does not need the space behind the converter for warm air exhaust. The airflow system will draw the cool air in from the front and also expel the warm air out through the front. It does use quiet cooling fans, which will operate only when the electric load requires it, avoiding any temperature spikes. And this is a very easy, quick installation.
The pigtails are included for each DC circuit. Uses insulated connectors with the tools preset to proper torque settings for a positive connection.
