When charging problems point to a failing converter, this replacement main board lets you restore your WFCO WF-8945 power center without replacing the full panel, keeping the repair simple and familiar.
When a WFCO WF-8945 power center stops charging batteries properly, it's easy to assume the entire panel needs to be replaced. In many cases, the issue is isolated to the converter board itself. This replacement main board lets you restore proper charging and DC power without pulling out the full power center or reworking existing wiring. It's built to current electrical safety standards and supports hi-pot testing, giving added confidence that everything is properly insulated and isolated once installed. The result is a repair that keeps the original enclosure, breakers, and fuse layout in place while restoring safe, reliable charging performance.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at this main board assembly for the WFCO Auto Detect RV Converter Chargers. Now this is ideal for smaller RVs such as camping trailers. Basically this whole board assembly right here is gonna slide into your WFCO WF 89 45 Power Center, and it'll instantly adapt to whatever battery you're using. And as we mentioned, this unit here is only for your WF dash 89 45 power centers. Maximum power input on this is 780 watts, continuous power output 610 watts.
And the output DC current is 45 amps. This does use auto detect technology, which will recognize your battery's chemistry and automatically adjust the charging profile to match it. So if you're using a lead acid battery, it has the three stage converter, which will handle every charging need for your RV. And if you're using lithium battery, it offers a multi-stage process to ensure safe operating voltage, replaces the battery energy, and balances the battery cells. It is also, this adds the helpful reverse polarity protection with an audible alarm, so it gives you safer and more reliable setup.
Does meet the new RVIA and NEC requirements. This unit does also protect against over current, over temperature, over voltage, and reverse polarity. Now the cooling fan right here, this is only gonna run when it's needed for quiet operation and the fan is controlled by the current load attached to the converter, not by the temperature. It's a very easy installation, requires two screws to install it. It has the three AC wires to be connected.
And over here, the two DC wires. There's no additional wiring or hookup required and it accepts the high pot testing.
