Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this extendable roasting fork. This is going to allow you to cook your hot dogs or roast your marshmallows while keeping them far enough away from you that you don't have to get your hand too close to the flames and the heat. So it is gonna do a good job of allowing you to heat up that food. And then it also retracts down so it's gonna be easier for you to transport. When we have it fully extended, we're looking at just shy of 30 inches.
When I measured it a moment ago from the very end of our handle here out to the very tip, it was right at 29 3/4 of an inch. When you retract it, it's going to go down to 21 1/4 of an inch overall length. So definitely a little bit easier to store for transport and that sort of thing. This does have a little plastic handle on here that's gonna help prevent the metal from getting too hot in our hand, transferring that heat back. So it's gonna do a good job for that.
So it is kind of an upgrade from your traditional metal fork. It does come with these two little plastic tips. Typically you'll take those off and pretty easy to lose them. I like to try and hold on to them so that after I clean off the tips of my fork I can put those back on and it's going to, I'll make sure that those pointy edges aren't going to stab into anything where we have it stored. So just a little tip from my personal preference, make sure that you don't lose those that you can reuse them.
Make sure that even when the fork is being stored, it's gonna be safe for little ones and everyone else. So overall, a really nice retractable fork here. Basic design, but really solves all the problems that you might have. It's gonna get the job done so that you can enjoy those moments at the campfire and focus on the good food and good times rather than burnt hands and that sort of thing. The roasting sticks seem like they are of a good quality,slides snug, light weight, and the price is extremely reasonable.
I really like that these collapse. Have a fire pit and it is always fun to make smores with the kids. And a great activity for when family and friends are hanging out. My old smore sticks were long. So they were always a hassle to clean and to store. These are easy to collapse, throw in the dishwasher, toss in a drawer. So we get all the fun of smores and less hassle.
I have been really enjoying these. Our old sticks that these replaced did not collapse, so they were always a pain to store. These are compact when not in use and work great we we do use them.

Hey Kevin! There's nothing more frustrating than trying to open a kitchen drawer and something's stuck in there. We hang our current s’mores sticks in the pantry, but these collapsible ones sound like they’re worth trying. I think your review just convinced me to replace ours!
