The CVT Timber Creek Annex was the perfect solution to what I needed. There are dozens of options for SUV tents, but very few for pickups with toppers. It fits the back of my Ford Ranger with a Leer topper perfectly. The multiple attachment points help get a custom fit and seal around the truck very well. We love having the extra room to stand up and change in, store extra gear, and even cook. Set up is easy and straightforward, and after several uses we're getting quicker at setting it up. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this tent. For what I needed and how I use it, I have nothing negative to say.
On top of a great product the staff at etrailer was phenomenal! During my research I found this product at other sites but what convinced me to buy from etrailer was their responses to reviews and especially the responses to the questions. The staff at etrailer responded to reviews and answered all the questions (even the ones that were already answered previously) with genuine interest, concern, and passion. One of the other sites seemed to answer all of the questions quite rudely. Etrailer has a new loyal customer

This product is amazing!! Just as described and quality for the price! My only complaint is the tent floor is slippery in my crocks and will need a rubber mat of some sort but this item still deserves 5 stars because it’s so great. Easy to setup and pack away. Also shout out to Josh b in customer service at e trailer. He provided friendly and efficient customer service. Highly recommend

That is great to hear! I am glad you are liking the product and your service was great. I will let Josh know! A rubber mat and a wet floor sign should do the trick lol. Have you been able to use this on any fun trips yet?

Just returned from our first trip using the car camping annex. It worked great with my F150 and a topper. Having space to stand and dress and eat when the weather was bad was great. The set up instructions were ok, but not great. Not that I’ve done it, it will be much easier. Take down was super easy.

What a perfect addition to my SUV!! It made sleeping in the car much easier and more comfortable.

Great set-up Bret! What was the story behind the trip? I am looking to get something like this as well for some hiking adventures.

by:

Nice tent, planning to use it as a mobile office to work at the beach

It is refreshing the find someone that answer the customer service line in a timely fashion. I had no reservations in buying my product elsewhere. The product works well and will not be returned.. I had contacted another company with the same product and was disappointed with their customer service. I highly recommend dealing with this company and will keep them for future use.

by:

It's a great design to make spending the night in an SUV more comfortable.

  • Can The Rear Hatch Be Lowered With The CVT Timber Creek Annex RG35ZV Installed?
Good question! Can you close the hatch of the vehicle the CVT Timber Creek Annex # RG35ZV is attached to? Yes. However, it should be noted that the hatch is actually acting as a roof support, so some of the roof will not necessarily cave in, but it will not be supported and will be flappy (for the lack of a better way to put it). If you look at the attached picture, I circled what I mean in red. If you are wanting something that can stand alone when you need to take your car somewhere...

  • Will The CVT Timber Creek Annex RG35ZV Fit A 2019 Ford Flex SE?
Hi Dennis! The CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping # RG35ZV will have no issues fitting your 2019 Ford Flex SE. The pictures I have included shows this on a late 90s early 2000s 4Runner as well as a mid 2000s to to early 2020s 4Runner. Your Flex is kind of between these sizes when I looked them up, so I think it will fit perfectly! Where you headed? Somewhere warm or somewhere cold?

  • Is The CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping RG35ZV Weatherproof?
Hi AMR! The CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping # RG35ZV comes with a built in weather canopy, so it is weatherproof and will keep the rain out. Waterproof typically means it can be submerged and will keep all the water out, but I don't think I would try to use this with a submarine. : P What truck and camper shell are you looking to pair this with? CVT says it can be used with full size trucks, but I want to make sure before telling you it will. Would hate to give you wrong information.

  • How Long Does it Take to Set Up CVT Timber Creek Annex # RG35ZV
Hey Earvin, I checked with CVT and they state that it would only take about 5 to 8 minutes to set up the CVT Timber Creek Annex # RG35ZV. The first time it might take a little longer but I am sure you'd get the hang of it pretty quick. Especially if you've setup tents before. We don't have a video yet but I would assume we will get one as soon as we can.

  • Recommended Annex/Tent Room for a Tear Camper
Hey Leslie, congrats on the new camper. I checked with CVT and they do not have a Timber Creek Annex that's going to work with a camper. There's no custom designed options from other brands for your Nucamp either but I do have another option. It's the Napier Backroadz SUV Tent item # NA59FR. This tent is designed to attach to roof racks or factory raised rails on the roofs of SUVs so if you have crossbars or something to attach the straps to this will work. The Napier Backroadz SUV Tent...

  • Vehicle Tent for Changing at Sports Events and Festivals on 2026 Chevy Suburban Z71
Hey Dan! I do think the CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping # RG35ZV is your best option. However, four people will be pushing it and you will have to pull the poles out to break it down even if you're leaving the rest attached. I don't know of a different option where you wouldn't have to pull the poles so that will just be part of the process each time. Once you get used to it the setup will be pretty quick so I don't see it being a major issue. To comfortably fit four people you...

  • Can I Detach My Car From the CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping and Leave It Set Up?
Hey Coe. The CVT Timber Creek Annex for Car Camping item # RG35ZV does not have a zippered panel on the vehicle side and isn't designed to be set up on it's own. For something like that you would need the Napier Sportz Dome-To-Go CUV Tent item # NA79FR. This one is specifically designed to be left up if you need to go somewhere. It's got a zippered opening on the vehicle side. What kind of vehicle do you have?
