Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ram 1500 we're going to be test fitting the four inch Aries Nerf Bars, Part Number AAAL235041.These nice round bars will help you get in easily, and quickly. The extra wide, non-slick step pads will help you get in when it's wet, and in other snowy and icy conditions. Since your trucks a crew cab, you'll get the same thing in the back for your friends and family. The pads feature a polypropylene construction, which will make it crack and UV resistant. Unlike other round bars, this one features a textured black finish giving it a rugged exterior. Unlike the glossy and chrome finishes this will hide scratches and chips. The bars feature welded end caps, which keeps out moisture to prevent rust and corrosion.
The four inch tubular bars have 23 and a half inch step pads that are four inches wide. The pads come pre-installed on the bars, the bars come in a quantity of two and all the hardware you need to install it without drilling is included. We're gonna start with our front bracket on the driver's side. So, we'll need to get down underneath and begin the installation. We need to begin removing the tape covering the holes in these two locations. Then take your M8 bracket, slide on your plastic retainer and push it into the frame there in the front hole.
You'll then take your M12 bracket and slide its plastic retainer on, and put it in the hole to the rear of the M8. Then grab the appropriate bracket for the driver's front, it'll be labeled on the bracket. Slide it over your bolts, slide on your M8 washer, M8 lock washer and hand tighten your M8 nut. You'll do the same for the M12 bracket. Then you'll take your M10 bolt, slide on your lock washer, your washer then line up the nut on your M12 bracket with the middle hole that's between your M8 and M12, and thread in that bolt.
We'll leave it loose for now, as we're gonna need to make some adjustments later. So we'll install the rear bracket. Now, here at the back panel on the driver's side we're gonna install our rear bracket. Here at the back panel you'll see the tape above the two open holes. We need to remove that tape and grab your M12 bracket, slide on the plastic retainer, and put it into place. You'll then slide your bracket into place.
Here we've got our M10 lock washer and washer. You'll again need to line up the M10 nut on the bracket, and thread in your bolt. Then take your M12 washer, M12 lock washer and M12 nut and thread it on. Again, leave it hand tight as we're gonna need to adjust the height after we get the bar into place. Now, we'll take our drivers side bar, set it up to the brackets and start the bolts. Now take your black M8 bolt, lock washer and washer and thread into your nerf bar. Do the same on both holes, then you'll repeat this same process on the rear bracket. Now, you'll adjust your bracket to make it even and then tighten down the bolts using a 16 millimeter socket. You'll then tighten down your upper bolt using an 18 millimeter socket. Now we'll adjust the front and tighten it down. Now that it's adjusted, tighten the back barge nut with your 18 millimeter socket. The lower bolt here with your 16 millimeter socket. Then your small front 13 millimeter bolt. You'll now want to adjust the height of your bars. I did this by using my pinky between the bar and the pinch weld. So we'll line it up on both sides, then snug your bolts down. Adjust for a pinky's length again here in the back, and tighten your bolts down. That completes our test fit of the Aries Big Step Nerf Bars on our 2015 Ram 1500.

Running boards look awesome and installation was easy.
My experience with etrailer has always been five stars and my order for the Aries Big Step Nerf bar was again five stars. Arrived early will follow up with pictures when installation is complete.
Order was delivered quickly. They look great on my truck. Replaced another brand that was steel and rusted through. Only issue was I needed to swap the middle brackets between sides to get it to align with the factory holes for mounting.
The install was easier than expected. Bolts right up to existing mount points.
New Nerf Bars on my Toyota Tacoma. Easy installation and they look great.
Great customer service! I had a small glitch with mounting brackets matching up to my truck, but a couple of conversations/emails with customer service and i had the needed brackets delivered. Looks great on my Silverado, no fade, durable product.
The package was originally promised for delivery by early December and then late in December but actually delivered in January. Even though I was promised to be advised about all steps in the delivery process I was not told about any delays.
I myself messaged-in to find out why the product was being delayed which had me worried that it was lost or that the order wasn’t placed.
When I did contact the sender, information as to why the package was over a month in delay wasn’t volunteered I had to press the matter. At this point I was told that the nerf bars were still in the process of being manufactured.
We have just passed the one year mark with this product and the drivers side plastic step just broke off. There are several
Molded push pin type fasteners that push into the step tube to hold the plastic step pad in place.
Easy instillation. Looks good on my Chevy 2500 HD.
Thanks great service
