Video Transcript for Review of Dutton-Lainson RV Roof Repair - Self Adhesive Repair Patch 6 x 9 Inch - DL68XR

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Dutton-Lainson self-adhesive repair patch. Now, this easy to use, reinforced repair patch is going to take care of holes and cracks in metal, wood, and most plastics. And this is the pouch that you're going to receive when you order this, and this is sealed, but I don't wanna open up this one, but I do have another one here that I've opened up to show you what you're going to receive inside. These do come vacuum-sealed to maintain the freshness, if you will, to maintain that adhesion quality. This is going to be the patch that you are going to receive, and I wanna go ahead and give you some measurements here.

So looking at the overall width, we're sitting right a little over nine inches, about 9-1/2 inches wide. And then looking what I'm calling the height here, we're pretty close to six inches there, a little over six, maybe about 6-1/8 inches or so. But basically six by nine is what you're gonna be receiving here. And this is flexible, so it's gonna mold to virtually any application. You're gonna be able to trim this down to fit whatever application you're looking to use this on.

I do wanna point out that this does not work on polypropylene, just so you're aware of that. And so you're going to peel and stick this patch to a clean, dry surface. And you wanna make sure that that surface that you're patching, whether it's cracked or there's a hole there, you do wanna make sure that it's absolutely clean and dry. And then you're going to remove this white backing here on the front side of the patch. And then you will expose that adhesive or that stickiness and then you will apply that to that area that you're needing to repair.

And then once you have this down on that area that you're needing to patch up, you will then remove the the other side here, this film here, you'll remove that, and you'll expose it to sun or UV light. Now, this will cure in about 5 to 50 minutes, depending on the intensity of the light. If you're using this indoors, you do wanna make sure that it's exposed to UV light with a minimum of 51 lumens. And then once this is completely cured and dried, this can be sanded, it can be drilled, it can be painted. It is waterproof, it's weather-resistant, it's non-flammable, it's non-toxic.

And you are going to receive this one patch. And again, this will be the pouch that it'll arrive in. We do have other sizes available as well, so if you're looking for something a little bit smaller, we do have a few smaller options available from Dutton-Lainson. And then if you're looking for a larger size, we do have that available too. So we have heavy covered on the sizes of the patches depending on what you're looking for.
