Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a taillight mounting box. This mounting box holds one round 4 inch taillight. The light would mount to the box using a mounting grommet. Lights and grommets are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. This box helps protect the light from the elements. It's made from a durable steel construction, and it features a really nice black powder coated finish on it to resist rust and corrosion.
It can be bolted or welded to your trailer or truck.When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit, exterior is a nice square design. That gives us a height measurement of about 6 3/16 inches tall. The width measurement should be the same at about 6 3/16 inches wide. The overall depth, that's front to back, gives us a measurement of about right around 3 inches deep. The cut out for the light has a diameter measurement of about 4 1/2 inches.
The internal depth, from the back plate to the inside of the front plate is about 2 7/3 inches deep. That's going to do it for today's look at the taillight mounting box.

Worked out so good, I installed them on my brothers boat trailer and he loves them.wire connectors are sealed inside box. No more corrosion.
