Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the nut drivers set. This is going to be an SAE set. So it's going to give you dedicated sizes for all kinds of jobs. And the thing that's kind of nice about this is that it does have color coding, so it can make it pretty easy to know which one you're grabbing rather than having to look for the size printed on there. So just kind of makes it easy to grab and go, rather than have to kind of hunt for which tool you need.
It does come with this little plastic tray. It's nothing too fancy or special. It's just kind of a thin plastic, but if you want to put it into a toolbox, it does kind of make it nice that it gives a dedicated spot for each thing. So they're not just going to be rolling around as you open and close those drawers. So it makes it a little bit more easy to organize. So let's take a closer look at what you actually get in this set.
So this is going to be eight pieces. Again, SAE sizes. So we're going to get a three-sixteenths seven thirty-seconds, a quarter inch, five-sixteenths, eleven thirty-seconds, three-eighths, seven-sixteenths, and a half inch.So this gray guy is our three-sixteenth. I like that it is printed on the bottom of each handle. Again, makes it easy to see which one you're getting, rather than having to look at the printed on part of the metal.
I like that you have both options though, that it is printed or stamped into the end. So that, really isn't going to wear off, even though this might, if you use it a whole bunch, you'll always still have that, but hopefully by the time this wears off, you're so used to grabbing the gray one for your three-sixteenth that it won't really matter. So that's kind of smart that they've done it that way to make it easy to remember which one is which. The handle's pretty comfortable. It's kind of a triangular shape here, and this does have a hollow shaft, so that makes it nice and lightweight. So you shouldn't have to worry about too much to fatigue with this.
Our shafts are made out of a chrome vanadium steel, and they should be pretty resistant to any kind of corrosion would that chrome plating over the top.All in all pretty nice kit. There is also a kind of corresponding kit with this. That is all of your metric sizes. So if you want to get that to go with it. Of course, they'll sit side by side in your toolbox. I'll give you one quick measurement of this tray, just for reference. It's about eight and a quarter inch wide, maybe about eight and a half since it kind of flares out towards the bottom, and then about nine and a half-ish and at about an inch and a quarter tall. So just to give you an idea of the space that this would take up in a drawer or something like that, that's pretty much it for our quick look at this nut driver set. I hope that this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right tool set for you.
