The instructions that came with the hitch were completely wrong. Probably for a different model and make of car. But they had a video online which showed my exact car and how to install it. It took me about an hour and a half to install and it fit very well. the most difficut part was squeezing it in between the canister and the bottom of the bumper.
Works great. Nice fit.
Installation was relatively easy. I mainly use it to haul mountain bikes. No issues after 1 year.
Trailer hitch arrived in a timely manner. Box could have used a bit more padding (one end of hitch had broken thru. Hitch went on uneventfully. Minor trimming was required to fit car's rear trim cover back in place after hitch was installed.
Good hitch, not so great packaging. Mine showed up with one of the plate steel flange/brackets sticking out of the box, so that part had scratched and broken through the powder coating. Likewise, there were some flimsy cardboard straps meant to hold the hitch in place in the box (they did not...) attached with large copper staples. Said straps had pulled free (hence the hitch flange breaking through the box) and the now-exposed staples had further scratched and broken through multiple spots on the powder coating.
Not the end of the world, but it's ironic to brag about the 4-layer powdercoat in the product description only to poorly pack/protect it and destroy said powdercoat. I lightly sanded, cleaned, and spray painted those spots on my hitch, but honestly I could have just painted the whole thing.
Finally, because the one flange had been sticking out the box a bit, it was ever so slightly bent inward, which made it challenging to slide the necessary shims in place when mounting (since it made the gap narrower than intended). Again, not the end of the world, but a pain, and an avoidable one at that.
Hopefully the etrailer can take this feedback and figure out a better way to secure the hitch within the box going forward. It's a fine product and I know from experience these guys work hard and care.
