Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer Gas Strut. So this is a gas strut, kind of like the support arm that you see holding things up like your RV doors, truck caps, or storage compartments. Its main job is to make opening and closing smoother and safer. This is built to last.
It has a durable black finish. And bringing up my tape measure here, measuring center of socket to center of socket, as I hope you can see, we're 20 inches long. This is gonna give you about 60 pounds of lifting force, which help take some of the weight off when you lift something like your cargo door or bed platform. Instead of slamming it shut, the strut is going to control the movement. So it's gonna stay open easily.
It's gonna open easily, rather, and close in a more controlled way. Now this is going to attach to your current ball studs. The product worked great. Easy installa tion.
We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight. These are working much better and support the weight of the bed when lifted up with no problemo. They were very easy to swap out from the original ones also.
