Features to know about

A Kit That Matches the Way You Fuel in the Field

Fill-Right transfer pump kit includeds matched components for mobile use.

You fuel in short windows, often early, so equipment is topped off before crews are waiting. This 12V setup gives you a pump and matched components for a more complete transfer routine: mount it, hook it up, fuel, and get back to the job.

More Freedom to Reposition at the Nozzle Connection

Tight filler necks and awkward angles can make a hose feel like it has a mind of its own. The swivel head attachment gives you more freedom to reposition while you fuel, so you can keep a cleaner, more controlled line into the tank opening.

Filtration That's Part of the Package

Stored fuel can pick up debris over time. This pump includes a built-in mesh strainer to help stop larger particles before they reach the pump. The kit also includes a filter and a 7" pipe nipple so you can set up filtration in the transfer line without having to source that mounting piece separately.

12V Power and Common Tank Mounting

The pump runs on a 12V DC battery connection and mounts to a standard 2" bung. The electrical junction box rotates 180 degrees, giving you more options for how you route wiring based on where the pump is mounted.

Video Transcript for Review of Fill-Rite Fuel Transfer Pump - Powered Pump - FR28XQ

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Fill-Rite 12-volt, 15-gallons-per-minute Fuel Transfer Pump. So if you've ever dealt with slow, unreliable fuel transfers or even had to piece together a pump set up from multiple parts, you know already how frustrating that is, right So this is exactly where the Fill-Rite is built to solve and come into play and make your life so much easier. So it's a complete, ready to install fuel transfer system out of the box, again, up to 15-gallons-per-minute so you can fuel equipment, vehicles, or tanks very quickly and efficiently. So you do have the nice extendable pick up, and it's threaded, obviously.

And then you've got the holes down here on the bottom for when you're at the bottom of the tank, you're getting fuel still. And of course you got your electrical wires that come with it, and of course, your nice hose. This is a great option. And then of course at the core, your heavy-duty cast iron rotary vane pump, and that's built to handle real world use, whether, again, it's ag, construction, mobile fueling situations. So this is not light-duty or occasional use, this is made for continual use.

It does run on that 12-volt DC power, that's gonna make it great for mounting on transport tanks and trucks, trailers, service vehicles, whatever you're using, farm equipment, and it is self-priming. So set up and operation is pretty simple. Now this does have built-in thermal protection, as far as thermal overload protection, so you don't have to worry about damage, and it's gonna extend the life of the motor during those heavy use. It is designed to handle diesel, gasoline, biodiesel blends, and many, many more. So it's a very versatile system right out the door as well.

Now you do get your handle here, included. I just have everything kind of loosely set up here. So you get your handle and everything. You do have the swivel connector here, which I like. It's a very nice upgrade that they threw into the kit, which I think is wonderful.

And then of course you have your on-off, and then of course you have a bar here with a hole through it, so you can also put a padlock to lock the system out so no one can just come up to your equipment and steal fuel. And then of course it's gonna fit your standard 2-inch bung, as far as the bung hole adapter. Now as you can see, it does have the fuel filter included as well. Again, I have this loosely fitted, but I did wanna point this out. Something that I noticed here in the studio is, obviously, again I have this loosely fitted, and it's not even going straight to where you'd be able to remove this filter. So personally, I think when you put your pipe thread on and everything and you install this, you're probably gonna wanna have it up at an angle of some sort, just so you have clearance to get that filter on and off when it's time to do those changes. Otherwise, you're gonna be having to move this and messing with those threads and could potentially cause leaks in the future. So again, make sure you're double-checking this setup here and that you have clearance wherever you decide to tighten this from the pump. 'Cause again, right here, if it's parallel, it's already touching, and again, I only have like one thread on this just for the video today, so just keep that in mind. Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this Fill-Rite Fuel Transfer Pump. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
