Hello, neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer. And today, we're gonna take a look at the WeatherTech custom cargo liner and we're gonna see how it fits in our 2026 Chevy Equinox. So when it comes to protecting your factory carpet, one of the most vulnerable areas is your cargo area, and that's just because there's all kinds of mess that we could end up putting back there, just depending on what you're using the vehicle for. But you know, if you got a landscaping project or any home project, really, you got paint cans or anything like that back there, you got kids in sports, and you got all that dirty equipment going on. There's just a ton of things that you could have in your cargo space that can damage that factory carpet. So getting a liner like this is a huge improvement.

It's just gonna make it a lot easier to clean and it's gonna preserve, again, that factory carpet, so that down the line, when it comes time to sell your vehicle, that's one thing that you don't have to worry about. Now this cargo liner is a custom cargo liner. Meaning, it follows the edges of our cargo area perfectly, even kind of back into these pockets. You're gonna notice there's a nice high wall going up. So that's really gonna contain any liquids.

They're not gonna spill over the edge and get under it and onto the carpet, and it won't get on any of the molding going around either. It's got this really nice non-skid surface, so it's, you know, actually a little bit tacky. You shouldn't have any cargo sliding around back here either, which is also gonna be protecting your vehicle. And not only that, the underneath of it has a texture here that does a really good job of gripping onto the carpet. However, it really kind of fits so well around the edges.

I'm not too worried about it shifting around at all. It's made out of TPO, which is a weatherproof, impact-resistant material. So this is gonna be a cargo mat that's gonna last you for a very long time. So as we take a look around the edges, even in these pockets back here, we get a really good fit. It goes around the wheel well really well, but it's right up against the back of our seat, and that high wall keeps its position all the way.

When we get over to the driver's side and we get into this pocket here, we got a little bit of curling going on. Now when you get this out of the box, it's gonna be rolled up, so you are gonna want to weigh it down and adding some heat to it is gonna help as well. It's November here at etrailer, so it's a bit cool and dry out, and we left it overnight with just some weight on it, but just that actually worked out really well. If I did the same thing and left it outside on a really sunny day, that heat would just help it mold down a little bit more. So this curling up on me at the moment isn't really concerning me all that much. I know that that's an easy fix with just a little patience. And when those times come along, where it could use a really good cleaning or you've just got so much debris on it that you can't really clean it out all that easily, there's no anchors that hold this down. It's really easy to just kind of pop it up. You could bring it out like this, brush it all off well away from the bumper and outta the vehicle, or just take it out completely, and give it a good hosing down.
