Video Transcript for How to Set Up Your WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic

Hey guys, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic single cab. We're going to be installing WeatherTech's Custom Auto Floor Liners. These are going to be custom fit. You can see we're going to have raised sides here. This is going to help keep any dirt and debris on the mat and off the carpet.

These are going to be a rubberized thermoplastic material, so they're going to be very thick and very durable. We're going to have cutouts here, so they're going to line up directly with our factory hooks to help keep the mat in place. You can see we're going to have raised channels throughout the mat. This is going to help divert water, dirt and debris off the bottom of our shoes to help our shoes dry a little bit quicker. You can see it's raised back here in the back.

This is going to help protect our carpet here towards our seat.We come up here to the front. You can see it comes up very high above our brake pedal and our accelerator pedal, helps cover that carpeted area up there in the front, also. You'll notice it kind of has a grainy texture to it. This is going to add grip when getting in and out of the vehicle with wet shoes. Keep in mind, some of the reviews that I have seen is that sometimes with this grittiness, this can be a little bit hard to clean, so it may require a little bit of a brush.

But talking about cleaning, they are fairly simple to clean. You simply take them out, rinse them off with a hose, brush them down, let them dry and you can re-install. If you find you get muddy shoes in, some of that dirt may be a little bit hard to get out of there when cleaning. WeatherTech does sell a cleaning kit that really helps get that dirt and stuff that may be stuck in some of this gritty area, out of the mat to bring them back looking new again.These are going to come in black, tan, cocoa and gray, and they're going to come in a set, both driver and passenger side. Let's go ahead and show you how to get the passenger side installed.

We're going to take, and we're just going to set it in place. We'll see our hooks. We're going to line them up just like that and set it into place. This is going to have the same contouring features as our driver's side, helps keep everything on the floor mat and off the carpet. I actually really like these. I have these in my Jeep, and it really cuts down on the cleaning process that you have to do, especially with water getting in your carpet. If you don't get it out all the way, and you don't let it dry, what happens is the inside of your vehicle kind of gets a musty smell. This is going to help, again, keep all that water and everything on the mat, off your carpet.Now I highly recommend not installing your new mats on top of older existing mats and make sure you clean underneath your mat before you get it in place.
