Hi Randy here, the etrailer. Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer we're going to be taking a look at the Weathertech, second row rear auto floor liners. This is part number wt443592 in black, and in tan part number wt453592, and also in gray part number wt463592. All right, we're here at second row on our Explorer. The first step is going to be to remove our factory floor mats here. I just want to make sure that we get the custom fit that we desire. We'll take these and set them aside.
We'll then grab our new mats here, and start placing them in. We'll press down firmly all the way around, to make sure we have proper contact with our floor. Now the custom molded design is going to ensure a perfect fit for every vehicle. As you can see, we've got a raised edge that goes all the way around the perimeter. Thats going to keep the water and the snow and the mud on your mats and off of your carpet. The one piece design here gives you optimal covering even over the center hump area here, which is often neglected.
Now our rear liner has a solid plastic core, and then its upper and lower layer are made of a rubberized material. This is designed to help you grip onto your floor so your mats aren't going to slip around. Also its a very durable material no matter what the temperature is, its going to stay flexible and stay malleable so you won't have any cracks or breaks. Now as you can see the black color is really going to complement many interiors. A great feature of these mats is they're made completely in the United States. The advanced surfacing here helps to channel fluid away from your feet or your shoes. You get the debrief back here where it can be easily cleaned up.
Which is as simple as just taking a wet cloth and wiping it off or if they're really dirty, you can pull them out, hose them off, let them dry and throw them back in.
