Video Transcript for Setting up the WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Mats on your 2018 Ford F-150

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're going be taking a look at the WeatherTech Front Auto Custom Floor Mats and seeing how they fit on our 2018 Ford F-150. So these are going to be WeatherTech's HP floor mats, that stands for high profile. And really the only thing that makes these a little bit different than the regular WeatherTech floor mats is that they have a slightly higher side wall and the construction just feels a little bit different, a little bit more flexible compared to the standard ones. Personally, I like the HPs a lot better because I find that they conform to the shape of the floorboard a bit better and you can see that really well here. These have actually been in this person's car, in this truck for a long time and they've had plenty of time to settle in and conform to all the different curves.

So these are a total custom fit mat, contouring around all the different edges in the floorboard, making sure that the sidewall are protected in that even some dirt and debris that gets onto the floor mat doesn't go up over the sides and get trapped underneath. It uses factory anchor points to secure, and if I pop that up, we can actually check underneath it. You can see that the mat itself is pretty dirty, but underneath the carpet is very clean. Nothing that a swift vacuum couldn't get up. Just a few little bits of grass and crumbs, but on top of the mat, even though it is looking pretty dirty, this is very easy to clean just by taking it out, hosing it off, and then you're good to put it back in once it dries.

These mats are a great all-weather solution and are going to hold up to the elements for a long time. We get these for the passenger side too. Although there aren't any factory anchor points to use on the passenger side, it still stays in place quite well with that custom shape boxing it in and the nibs underneath biting into the carpet. Again, under here we can see that there's very few crumbs, if any, so everything stays quite clean. And looking at the texture on top, we'll notice that there's a bit of a divot and some grooves, so if we do have wet shoes or anything that water or spills or anything like that, will guide down into this tray here where we can clean it up and it stays contained, plus the ridges help keep our feet elevated out of it.

I think they're going to be a great addition to your F-150. If you're interested, you can always get a set for the back seat as well.
