Video Transcript for 2020 Jeep Gladiator PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter: Complete Installation

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter here on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. So this is gonna be a very nice way of just making sure that the cabinet you guys are getting is nice, fresh, and without all, nasty pollens and any kind of other allergens that they might be kind of getting all gunked up in there. And of course, you might have a little bit of just debris in there. So it's gonna be a really nice way of saving you guys just a little bit of cash when you guys are at those quick stops when they wanna go ahead and change that for you, you can do it yourself, and it's gonna be really straightforward and simple to do. So let's go ahead and give ourselves some fresh air, get this installed.

Now we just need to bring ourselves to our passenger side and open up our glove box. So let's go ahead and try to remove any of the items we don't want falling out. Now all we have to do, we kind of give it a little lift here and then push out on your latch, lifting up towards the sky and then kind of out to the side, and then just simply try to get it off here at the bottom. We just have some little edges it's actually sitting on. we just kind of pull it out, and that's gonna expose us to the inside here.

Now right here we have our little plate and that's actually where our cabin air filter is. So we have a little pinch point just simply pinch these guys together, like so, and that's gonna allow us to pull this out. Now we also have a little slot on the other side that's actually kind of slotted in, so just simply slide it to the left and then you can remove it. Put that out of the way we can go ahead and try to get our cabin air filter out, just like so. And as you guys are seeing, this one is pretty dirty.

So a lot of debris in there, a lot of dirt sitting, you can see the white on the underside. And if we compare it to our brand new one, definitely a very big difference. So hopefully your set home isn't quite this bad, but if it is, definitely time for replacement. We just simply need to take out our new filter and let's also pay attention to where our air flow was. So, as it was sitting in there, we can see the air flow is going from top to bottom.

So we need to find the air flow on our new filter as well. So going from top to bottom, I simply rotate it like that. And begin to insert my new filter into our holder. I will say, you kind of have to just pinch one of these sides like so to get it started, trying not to bend your corners as much as you can and just kinda walk it in like so, getting it put all the way in, and now time to replace your plate. I find it easy to kind of get it to the left a little bit. And if you need to as well, I found it a little helpful to find that hole first, and then you slot it in. Coming on an angle can be a little helpful, it just takes a few little tries but you can find it just like so, push your plate in and now re-secure your glove box. Let's make sure we have the bottom ones aligned, again, can be just a little trial and error and you'll find it. Reinsert your latch, just like so. Push it down to lock it in place. Then there we are, nice install. Well as we saw, it really doesn't take us too long to actually get that installed, and it can be a breath of fresh air, which is great. Again, really easy way to go ahead and save at that self service station, that way, we're not gonna overcharge for something we can do ourselves, which is great. Otherwise though guys, I think that's a look here today at our PTC custom fit air cabin filter here on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. I'm Bobby, thank you for watching..
