When you’re logging thousands of miles with a camper, stability matters. These TorkLift Talon tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—so your camper rides low and steady. By spreading weight evenly and lowering the center of gravity, they help keep sway and bounce under control. Your camper stays secure even through crosswinds or uneven terrain, and your truck handles just as well as it does when empty.
These custom-fit tie-downs bolt to existing holes in the frame for a clean install with little to no drilling. Because they’re designed for a tight, precise fit, ground clearance stays high—no bulky brackets hanging down. The bolt-on setup keeps your frame intact while making installation straightforward for one person with basic tools.
No one wants permanent hardware hanging off their truck when the camper’s off. These tie-downs use removable arms that slide out when not needed, leaving barely visible brackets tucked up under the body. You keep your truck’s clean lines without sacrificing readiness for the next trip.

The Talon series combines rustproof aluminum arms with stainless steel receiver brackets and a high-impact powder coat finish for extra protection. That means they resist corrosion from road salt and weather while standing up to years of heavy use. Strong welds and tough materials keep them performing season after season without weakening or binding.
Each tie-down arm offers two pin holes so you can set the right extension for your camper’s anchor points. This helps clear fenders or sidewalls while keeping tension right where it should be once the turnbuckles (sold separately) are tightened. The dual anchor holes on each plate let you fine-tune angles for solid stability from every direction.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Torklift Talon Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie-Down Set. This set is going to provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing your bed mounted camper. This is just gonna provide the two back tie-downs, or rear tie-downs, you will also need the front tie-downs, those are sold separately, you can find them here at etrailer.com, using the part number that you see on the screen there, that's gonna give you the tie-downs at all four corners to keep your truck bed camper nice and secure. This is a custom fit, it's gonna work for your 2019 and newer Ram 3500 with the eight foot bed, as well as your 2022 and newer Ram 3500 with a six and a half foot bed. This is designed to work with a factory installed hitch and with either a factory electric board under the cab, or without a board or a step.
We do have a vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com to kinda simplify that process for you. You just type in your year, make and model of your vehicle, we'll let you know which products will work for you, so we can help you walk through that process a little bit easier than the way I've just described it. But this is gonna be a really nice option for securing your truck bed camper to your truck, to make sure that it's going to be very stable. Having these attached, these are going to fit right to your truck frame, because they are that custom fit, you're not gonna have to worry about losing ground clearance, they are a frame mounted design that's gonna ensure excellent handling by securing it to your truck's base, instead of up on the bed, it's going to help better distribute the weight to keep it from being too top heavy and shifting too much, so having it connected right to your truck's frame is gonna be a really great option for you. This is made of really nice rust proof and a very durable construction, you got your lightweight aluminum tie-down inserts here, these are going to be very easy to work with, they are very lightweight, these will secure to your stainless steel receiver brackets here.
They both have this high-impact powder coat finish that's gonna add an extra layer of protection to make sure that even underneath your truck, it's still gonna help protect from rust and corrosion, that sort of thing. These can be easily removed, so when you don't have your camper in your truck bed, you can just pull these out, they include these caps that can go right on here, and cover that up, so nothing's getting inside there, and then you can see, we do have two holes here in our tie-down inserts, so that's going to accommodate different widths of campers. So if your camper is a little wider, you've got that further hole there, to help kinda accommodate that, if it's a little bit more narrow, you can bring that in to that point there, and then whenever it's where you want it, just slide your pin through like so, get it attached. But this is gonna be really nice rather than having this permanently sticking out, taking away from the appearance of your truck, being able to remove that, just just put a cap on there, you're really not ever gonna see this, it's gonna be virtually undetectable when you're not wanting to use that insert there, so that's gonna leave your truck looking really nice, you won't even know it's there most of the time. They do include all the hardware and instructions that you're gonna need to get this installed, so very, very simple to walk you through that process, get this all put in place, and ready to go, so that you can enjoy your camper in your truck bed.
It is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. So in my mind, this is kind of the best option out there, being able to connect right to the frame of your truck is gonna make it a lot sturdier than some of the other options, and being able to remove those arms, it's not gonna take away from the look of your vehicle at all, so it's kinda the best of both worlds, stability and aesthetic value, it's gonna do a good job. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.
Thanks for watching..

Sorry to hear that, Steve. I can't say I have heard of someone having to grind down the arms so they fit into brackets, so I'm surprised you had to. Was it more than just a build up of powder coat/paint? I will be contacting TorkLift so they will definitely be made aware.
