Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Lewmar aluminum LFX fluke anchor with rope, and chain and shackle. Now this aluminum fluke anchor is gonna let you drop anchor in different conditions. This is going to do a great job in holding in sand and mud, and this is going to be ideal for boats from 16 to 27 feet long. And just to give you some measurements of the anchor itself, looking at the overall width here at the widest point, I came up to about 18 inches wide. The overall depth, or length from end to end, about 24 inches long.
And then the length of the fluke is about 12-and-a-half to 13 inches long or deep. So you're gonna be able to adjust the shank and fluke angles for different conditions. And this is going to give you plenty of fluke surface area for holding your boat steady. And this is going to give you more holding power than steel fluke anchors of the same weight. So even though it is aluminum and lightweight, it is very durable, it's very strong and it's anodized aluminum, so you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion.
So lightweight, yet strong and durable. And then this is going to disassemble for easy storage. You will receive this disassembled, so you'll just have to put it together, took me about five minutes or so with a wrench. So it comes with all the hardware that you need. but you need to adjust anything, it is adjustable based on your particular application.
So again, this does come with the shackle, as you can see here, the chain and then the rope. So you're gonna get a complete kit with this. And the chain information here, this is going to be about five feet long, and the link size is a quarter of an inch. And then the rope, as you can see here, is attached to the chain. And so this rope is gonna be a half inch in diameter, And the total length of the rope, just the rope itself is gonna be about 125 feet.
So everything that you need here. And this total kit weighs about 14 pounds, and we do have the option of just getting the anchor by itself if you don't need the chain and the rope, you can get this particular anchor just by itself. And if this isn't necessarily the exact size of anchor that you're looking for, we do have quite a few different options from Lewmar. So whether you're looking for a different size anchor, different type of kit, or even an anchor that's made of galvanized steel rather than aluminum, we do have those different options available. So please avail yourself of taking a look at those other items that we do carry from Lewmar. But if you do decide that this is going to be exactly what you need, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with this anchor, rope and chain. So drop us a review on this product page, let us know how you're going to be using it, how it's working out for you.
