Wished I'd had this item earlier. When I purchased my Blu Ox system the local RV dealership did not carry a similar item. So, etrailer is a life saver for useful products to the outdoor community. This package provides a number of keys, so you can have one on each family member's key ring -- truck, RV, and SUV. Love that one key can unlock/lock each hitch-pin on the Blue Ox flat tow system; no more fumbling with multiple keys. And, provides added security while away from your rig.

I put this hitch on my 2017 Winnebago Vista (Base 2017 Ford F-53), I needed to update the default hitch that was only 5000lbs to flat tow my truck which was just over weight at 5600lbs and yes I double checked the max the winnie can pull which is 7500lbs. So now I have more than I need to pull the weight. As some of you may know, looking for an affordable hitch for something that is custom is difficult. I did look into the universal weld-on but that would not work either as there is a bracket that was in the way to hold the generator. I was not looking to cut and weld. This bolt-on fits great and looks good. The receiver sits just under the original location by 2 inches.

These are good quality locks and I would buy them again. I’ve been using them for a year. The quality is still like new. 4 stars because the shaft needs to be slightly longer. When we attach them we have to tilt them in order for the pin to latch. We discovered this the first time we used them. We thought we had closed them tight, but didn’t. Fortunately, we only drove about a mile to a gas station, where I walked around checking everything and noticed one was off-center.

The new latch took a little bit of modification to the door, some minor cutting to the fiberglass and some minor cutaway to the foam in the door but it was well worth it. The latch system works very easy in comparison to the old latch system, you barely have to pull on the latch to open the door and it closes very easily also. The old latch you would have to bang on the door as you pull the latch just to get it open. I installed it over a year ago and it's still just as easy to open as the day I installed it. The only minor problem is the footprint doesn't match so the paint is faded where the old latch used to cover and the new one doesn't. I'll take that over a latch that doesn't work any day.
