Today, on our 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, we are going to install part number VG-10-100. This is a Stromberg-Carlson fifth wheel tailgate. To start of our install, we need to go ahead and remove the existing tailgate. The tailgate comes with bushings we will install on the tailgate on the driver side on that pin and then on the passenger side, the bushing will install over here. We will go ahead and start installing our tailgate, we will slide it onto the bushing on the driver side. Keeping the tailgate tilted, we will go ahead and install it on the passenger side.

Even though this is designed for 5th Wheel Trailers, this is a handy accessory to have with your Goose-neck Trailer as well. Now, take a look at the line here on our new tailgate, it actually follows the line of the bed itself so it matches up pretty good. Of course it does this on both sides. All steel construction and it's all welded together, obviously it's a one piece unit. Take a look at the opening at the bottom it's going to be about 15 inches.

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram 2500, were going to be test fitting the Stromberg Carlson Fifth Wheel Tailgate, part #VGD-02-100. First, well need to remove the OEN tailgate. Well undo the cables. At their securing posts, lower the tailgate to about a 45 degree angle, pull it off the passengers side hinge, and then slide it off the drivers side hinge. Once weve done that, were ready to fit on our Stromberg Carlson gate. Well just reverse the procedure.

Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 Series Mega Cab, we're going to install part number VGD-02-100. This is a Strongburg Carlson 100 Series fifth wheel tailgate. First thing we need to do is remove the factory tailgate. You're also going to need to remove the cables as well. Typically just lift the tailgate up just a little bit and pull this little tab out, and you can pull it apart. You've got one on each side, and it's a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help take the tailgate off.

Today on this 2006 Dodge Ram pickup 2500-series mega-cab, we're going to install part number VGD-02-4000. This is a Stromberg Carlson 4000-series 5th-wheel louvered tailgate. The first step is to go ahead and get the original tailgate out of the way, so we'll go ahead and open it up, and we'll lower it down. Typically, there's a small tab you pull out to release tension on the cable, and you can go ahead an release it. Okay, this is where I want an extra set of hands to help remove the tailgate. Tilt it up about 45-degree angle, and then pull up on it, and it comes out of the slot. Just push towards me. There you go.

Today on this 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup 2500 Series 8 Foot Bed, we're going to do a test fit of part number VGD-02-4000. This is Stromberg Carlson's 4000 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with locking handle. We're going to start off our test fit with our tailgate already assembled according to the instructions, and with our factory tailgate already removed from the truck. Now we're going to leave one of the covers off so you can see how the latches work. All I've got to do is just put it in place. We'll slide the driver's side in first.

Now, were going to start off our test of it with our tailgate already assembled according to instructions, so all Ill got to do is remove the original tailgate then install the new one. The new tailgate installs just like the original. Well slide it over the pin and keep it tilted back, so we can slide on the other pin on the passenger side then well go ahead and push it up. Well pull the latches out just a little bit, then well go ahead and push the tailgate firmly into place.

Today on our 2002 Dodge Ram pickup, we'll be test fitting the Maxxtow Cargo Gate for full size truck beds 59-1/2 inches to 72 inches wide part number MT70235. Typically when installing the cargo gate, you'll want to go ahead and get your gear in first and then your cargo gate that way you can secure it up next to the bed of your truck or towards the tailgate, but for today's test fit, we're just going to show you how it looks on your 02 Dodge Ram. With our cargo gate assembled according to the instructions, we'll go ahead and hop up into the bed of our truck and set it into place. We can now go ahead and check tomake sure it's set at the correct height. We'regoing to move the L brackets to the center position on the plate here on the ends of our cargo gate. This allows us to have the L brackets in the right position to fit against the side railsof our truck. We'll loosen up the threaded handles on the sides to adjust the telescoping top rod for an easier installation.
