Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, how this bike is actually gripped to the bike rack, we're not going to have any frame contact at all. Instead at the front here, we have our 9 millimeter skewer holding in our bike by the fork mounts. Now, this also works for through axles. You can remove this and use it with through axles from 12 to 15 to 20 millimeters large. At the back here, we have this wheel strap that will hold the rear wheel in place.

Instead, we have this quick release skewer up here at the front, which will grip your bike by the fork mounts. This will work with nine millimeter, excuse me, quick release skewers, or 12 to 15 millimeter through axles. At the back here, we have this strap here that'll hold the rear wheel into place. This strap is adjustable length of the bike rack, and this is going to help out with different size bikes. With everything attached right now, we have full access to our rear hatch, but we're now also not going to have any clearance issues between the hatch and the bike rack itself, as you can see here. It does have an integrated cable lock at the end, which you can wrap around your bike for additional security.

This is a pretty unique bike rack for the roof in that instead of having to remove your front wheel for say for a fork mount, you can actually leave it on and it grips your entire bike on the roof, and it still maintains no frame contact at all. Instead it uses this wheel hook up at the front and two wheel straps on each tire. These wheel straps are adjustable along the bike rack itself, and this is too accommodate different sized bikes. With the bike installed I'd like to show you that you have no clearance issues with the roof rack in this configuration between the hatch and the bike rack itself. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. We'll start by loosening up the wheel straps, pushing up on the top of the tabs which will release them.

First we're going to show you how we secure our bike in to place and then go over some features of the rack itself. I'm actually going to step up into my vehicle, since it is a higher vehicle there. Now here in the back we have a ratcheting tire hold, this is going to push that entire bike up into our front tire hold. It ratchets down using our box here, where you just lift up and release that, it also locks into place as well which will prevent any theft or tampering of your bike rack and you bike. To release our entire bike we're going to hand on, open up our box here and let that back tire hold just fall back into place.

Now as you can see I've positioned it to where our bar sit evenly with this so I'll go ahead and do that. We'll make sure that it is even on our rails. Once we have that done, we will take our clamps, what you want to do is you want to run those up through the holes here. We'll do one at a time that way it makes it easy. We'll grab our screws and put them on that way our clamp does not fall back through.

You want to make sure that your straps are undone we can feed them underneath the rails. We go ahead and center that up best we can, then we'll come up top, we'll remove this. This is going to reveal our tightening screw and before you begin tightening that down, let me go ahead and show you that you straps are going to want to lodge up in here that we can tighten them. We'll lay it back down and we'll make sure that each strap is in its location we can tighten it down.
