Most Popular Thule for 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee Overland. I wanted a roof rack so I could put a car top carrier for my next trip home to the East Coast. I really liked how the fit kit went on using the mounting screw holes for the original factory rails. I also like that this kit came with lock washers so I did not have to use Loctite on the screws. Once assembled it was solid and looks great. One thing the directions do not tell you is that you should not tighten the screws on the feet themselves until you insert the crossbars. Those last two screws also pull down on the connector that holds the bar in place. As usual each trailer had the best price and the fastest shipping. That’s why they’re my go to.

I've always trusted Thule bars. I have an old Xsporter on my truck that works really well and it has held up over time. I needed to get a Thule rack for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and found that etrailer had all the parts I needed specified for my model. That was one of my favorite things about the site. No need to search around for the different parts to attached onto the factory rails. Once I received the rack and components, it was really easy to install. I pretty much watched the etrailer videos before hand. I have the older Hullavator 897XT to haul my kayak in. With the WingBar Evo, I found I needed to get a slightly longer bolt (6-1.00 x 30), which I got from the local Ace hardware store, to attached the Hullavator support bracket to the WingBar. Once I got those bolts set up, I was on the water with the kayak the next day. Talked to the customer service a few times and they are great friendly people. And I can understand what they are saying.

Got a 2020 Grand Cherokee with the black metal roof side rails. I had planned on using the 60" Aerobars with the 460R pedestals, but oddly the bar didn't have long enough mounting points. So after talking with these folks, I opted for the 480R instead. While they 'technically' worked, the rack sat way in front of the factory rails. I did a LOT of talking with Thule and others and finally opted to get the 69" Probars. They work with the 460R pedestals, fit into the factory side rails and while I did have to get them cut down to 60", have enough room for everything I need to mount. So, my only compliant is that both Thule and etrailer don't seem to have the Probars listed as an option for the Grand Cherokee. They are the best option, especially if you have a Hullivator. And they look great!

Bought these for my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only problem I discovered is that I should have ordered the 47" version. The 53" version sticks out the side much more than I like. I bought the 53" version thinking that I needed that length to accommodate putting a 48" sheet of material on top. The install was actually very simple.

Thule rack looks great on my Kia Telluride. The pieces took a while to get to me because they were on backorder but it's not etrailer, they were on backorder everywhere. I messed up a piece of the rubber while installing and etrailer sent me another one free of charge. Would definitely recommend etrailer.
