This is the fourth one of these I have purchased and installed. Easy to install with great instructions it was done in about 30 minutes. Great product wouldn’t own a pickup truck without one. Makes life easier lowering that heavy tailgate.

This tailgate assist works perfectly! It took about 10 minutes to install. I’m 5’2” and no longer concerned about the tailgate falling on me when I try to open it! I would recommend this to anyone that has a large pickup.

This is my second gate. I really like them. Takes some minor adjustment to meet my standards. Added extra rubber bushings. Not really crazy about having to pull the latches to get them to lock. As to your service, shipped on a Saturday! Who does that? Delivery went fine. Thanks for your attention to detail and follow-up!

I bought the DeeZee Easy Tailgate for my 2015 F250 Super Duty after reading reviews from other owners. My tailgate is quite heavy since it has the step assist system which slides inside the tailgate, and I don’t like to just let it go and bang at the bottom. I actually ordered two because of the weight of the tailgate, thinking it might be needed. I installed just one DeeZee Easy Tailgate a year ago and have no issues whatsoever. Now, when I lower the tailgate, I just pull the latch and let it go. It opens slow enough to not bang when fully opened. I still have the second one I bought, just incase the one installed ever fails. I highly recommend the DeeZee Tailgate for a smooth opening of your tailgate.

Easy install, under 15 minutes. The lock tight they sent had dried up in the bottle. I carry lock tight with me so that was not an issue, but for the novelist that would be a an issue. With the pressure that the shock delivers, lock tight is a MUST! It is performing within the perimeters it was designed for. It's nice not dropping the tailgate and crashing when it opens, shock allows for a smooth stop. If you are looking for a shock to remove most of the tailgate weight, this is not what you are looking for. It took out about 30% tailgate weight, witch is a help. The Ford F-250 tailgate is heavy. And I'm glad for any help........

Tailgate arrived on time and in good shape Found a you tube with instructions for install on a 2015 F 350 (same as my 250) Followed those instructions and the removal and install was very easy Great looking product and matches my silver F250 perfectly

I tow a 15,000# fifth wheel trailer on my 2015 Ford F-250 diesel. I ordered and Installed this tailgate with the idea of using it when I towed and then taking it off and installing my regular tailgate when I wasn't towing. For this reason, I ordered a new rear view camera from Ford and installed it on the Husky Liner tailgate. Well the truth is the Husky Liner tailgate is not only functional but also really good looking, so I've never taken it off. The Husky Liner tailgate is strong and robust. Admittedly, I've scratched in a few places from using bungee hooks but the scratches are barely noticeable. I get a lot of compliments on the Husky Liner tailgate and since it makes my truck look unique, I'll probably never take it off. This was one of my best purchases. I love the looks and durability of my Husky Liner tailgate!

The Gorilla Lift assists are great. etrailer shipped them to very quickly. Their installation video was very useful. The reason for my purchase of the Lift Assists is that the end gate on my trailer is very heavy. I am concerned with the safety of the end gate falling on my children toes and the strain of lifting it. This product does work and I do recommend putting a set on your trailer(s)

Good for center security, but space between cover gives access to cover lock

First time I lowered it half way down it went slamming on the ground. A ring attaching the spring to the chain gave way it was not welded. I took a pair of channel locks and squeezed it closed and was going to have it welded being someone forgot to weld it but I thought it's under warranty and wasn't going to put the money out to fix it. The ring is a smaller diameter than the others one installed. Waiting on Rack' Em to send me parts under warranty. Someone should me crediting me some money back being I was put out and have to fix it.

I am very pleased with this product. I have installed this on my split tailgate and it works flawlessly. I have another trailer with the gorilla tailgate assists on both sides. I would pick the RA-27C double barrel over the gorilla springs, hands down. I have included some pics to help anyone else with a split tailgate. This is what I came up with and it works great!

I can attest this thing works. Had it on my 02 F250 for 15 years and just put this new one on my 14 F350... Fits perfectly. etrailer doesn't guarantee it fits, but it does. This supplements the factory torsion rod and DeeZee down assist. All works together.

Very satisfied with the product. I have s 2004 F250 SuperDuty and the tailgate is extremely heavy. The Hopkins Easylift has made our tailgate much easier to open and close. Thank you.

The seal works very well on my 2018 Silverado, with the exception of the area near the top of the tailgate, where there is just not a good way to seal it. Not the fault of Extang tape, so I sealed almost all the way to the top and I never have any issues with dirt or rain getting in. I would buy this product again.

It leaks after about 6 months. New truck so it was installed on clean surface. It had has leak in center around wires going into tailgate. After attempting to fix the seal no longer sticks. Entire cargo load was covered with dust after a trip to colorado and back.

Seal installed easily With exception of sidewall seal on my 2019 Ford Ranger Lariat. Big gap between sidewall and tailgate, Resorted to putting seal next to the taillight assembly as shown in pictures, no gaps between tailgate and seal.

Is actually too wide for my f250. About 3" or so Other than that is fine.

Everything perfect. Strong durable material. Easy installation and a great finished look. Can use with bed cover installed and with tail gate installed. Very good value. Never disappointed in etrailer.
