Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops - Aluminum - 800 lbs
One year review requested by etrailer.com. Box arrived extreamly tore up. Rack was obviously used but not damaged. I contacted etrailer who gave me a 30% discounted return. Racks held up well but I noticed a crack in the weld on one of the bars shown in the picture. I've put a 32' extention ladder on it a few times but ususally smaller a-frames and a 28' extention a couple of times. I'll get someone to fix the cracked arm. Overall I'm fine with the customer service and performance for the price. I recently removed the handy triangular hold downs for the past winter since I wasn't using the rack.
Thus ladder rack has been a very useful addon for my Nissan Frontier. I recently re-installed on a 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro and it went smoothly. My only criticism is that the hand knobs for the adjustable load stops are too small for the task.

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs
I did install the Thule TracRac SR. I did it on my own and it went well. I'm really pleased with it. As for the photo, I will send you one, once I've washed my truck. Can't make a photo with a dirty truck. I will leave feedback later after some time with the rack.
These racks are simple to install and perform as expected. Pros are that they can slide all the way to the cab to get out of the way while not in use. Or can be totally removed if you need to park in a low clearance garage or want to go through the car wash. Cons are they can and will break if you back up against a tree limb or basketball hoop but that’s not really the racks fault now is it. The silver paint will inevitably start to chip off once the cast aluminum starts to oxidize after a few years. Kind of a bummer since otherwise they look nice.

Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Silver
Best rack on the market, and I’ve owned many! This is my second set of TracRac ladder rack systems. The first in 2006, and it was still going strong until I sold the truck with the rack on it, and now this one I purchased in 2022. Unfortunately, this will be my last one as it will take me into retirement, but it will live on with the new owner that buys this truck! Thank you for manufacturing such a good quality product. A+++++
The rack is slim and not overly gaudy for my Denali. But handles a decent amount of weight is quite sturdy for lumber and my 15' canoe.

Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Matte Black
Rack was a good fit for my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and is solidly constructed and easy to install. Expensive but probably worth the money. No problem at all with black powder coating in screw threads, which many other reviewers complain about. I bought the Thule aero rack pads at the same time. They do not fit the rack properly and I’m disappointed that etrailer did not question the order and offer advice.
Rack is sturdy and well built. Took less than an hour to assemble and install. Maximum height of rack does not clear the top of the cab of a 2016 Ford F-350 SD Crew Cab. If you want to carry a kayak it will require foam blocks or Malone kayak saddles made for the Tracrac(not carried by etrailer). You can not carry a long ladder if used on this vehicle. Over all it is good rack though.

Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 450 lbs - Silver
I ordered a truck rack Monday Sept 17th just after 8am pacific time. Within an hour I received an e-mail that the order was being processed. A short time later i received an e-mail that the order had shipped . I received my order on Friday the 21st. I have installed the Rack in my truck and it looks great. I am a return customer and would recommend etrailer to anyone in the market for any items they may need. Etrailer your great. Thanks for the fantastic service.
More expensive than other racks but I was impressed with the quality of the components, the directions and even the packaging. I wanted racks that I could adjust as low as possible to ease the loading of kayaks and just clear the cab. These adjust to just about any height you'd want in 3/4 inch increments. My only doubt is whether the C clamps that secure the bases to the bed rails might loosen over time.

Erickson Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel - 1,000 lbs
Great value full size ladder rack. Very impressed with the quality and how durable the steel frame is. 1-year in, haven't had any issues with rusting or loose bolts, which is what I have experience in the past from similar racks. Would highly recommend if you need a full-size ladder rack for a small to mid-size truck.
Easy assembly and installation I had to modify the J-bolts or buy different ones for my bed, but they were readily available at the hardware store. I use it for hauling lumber, steel, kayaks. It has been a terrific addition to my truck.

Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops - Steel - 800 lbs
Install wasn’t horrible but I can’t imagine removing it often. The stops naturally don’t slide on the rail but can be relocated without tools which is nice. Seems sturdy. The cons, it’s steel and has started rusting after two weeks in places the paint wore off during install. I will have to clean it up and repaint it to keep it from looking horrible. In addition, the J bolts sit pretty far off the side of my 2007 F150 so the bracket is hanging off the rim inside about an invh. Once all together it doesn’t seem to matter but would be more comfortable if it sat tight. Overall, it gets the job done but if looking for pretty, get something that doesn’t rust.
The product itself is of good quality. It is a heavy duty truck rack. They say it is adjustable but that is only if you have the wrenches with you. It took several hours to assemble it alone. The bolts need to be a little longer especially on the mounting sleeves and the top of the cross bars. The sliding mounts were quite difficult putting on as the sleeves were very tight, I recommend WD - 40. When it was to the point of installing the cross bars it was necessary to loosen the mounting sleeves and move them. I called customer service and sent several e-mails and received no responses . I plan on using it to carry my kayaks while pulling a travel trailer.

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 1,250 lbs
Fit perfectly. Was a little concerned that it wouldn't work with my bed cover. But it does and couldn't be happier.
Very high quality product with excellent customer service. Highly recommend Thule and etrailer!

Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Silver
I am a contractor and just upgraded to a new Toyota Crewmax. While I love the truck I needed to solve the issue of hauling materials in a bed that was significantly shorter than the old truck. The Thule with the cantilevered extension was the perfect no-drill solution.
Great quality pretty good directions

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever - 1,250 lbs
Pretty good ladder rack. I like having the ability to slide the racks if needed. The install is doable. If you are installing the cantilever, make sure you swap out the top mount before assembling the top bar. The legs come pre-assembled with the regular top mount from the factory. The regular top mount has to be removed and the cantilever top mount installed to assemble the cantilever part of the ladder rack. Also, the bolts that hold the top mount on have loctite on them from the factory and are really hard to remove. I ended up stripping the bolts out. etrailer was very helpful and sent me a replacement hardware kit with all the bolts needed to finish the install. Between the directions provided and a few YouTube videos, the install was pretty straightforward. I am very happy with the product overall.
I bought these for my 2018 Ford F 150 5.5foot bed. These are definitely one of the more expensive ladder racks you can buy but totally worth it. Very high quality and easy to install. I bought these for the ease of removal. I use etrailer.com for all my vehicle needs.

Adarac Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel with Aluminum Crossbars - 500 lbs
Awesome product. Very sturdy. Will work with Backflip G2 cover installed

Thule Xsporter Pro Mid Overland Truck Bed Rack - Aluminum - 600 lbs
Bought this for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma and with the adapter kit (https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Thule/THXK4.html), it works perfectly for what I needed. Right now using it to haul two kayaks but eventually will be using it to haul a hardtop camper. Perfect midsize height. Very sturdy, somewhat easy to assemble (Thule instructions are pretty bare bones but once you get started it's pretty easy to follow).
It’s very well made, heavy duty. Looks good and should last a very long time. I’ve put my Yakima SkyBox 18 on it and we are ready for adventure.

Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 450 lbs - Black
Ability to raise and lower the rack is very useful. It allows me to keep the boats as low to the ground/truck cab as possible for easier loading/unloading. I can raise the rear rack and load a motorcycle without removing it. I have removed the endcaps and run straps through the crossbars and was able to load two 17 aluminum canoes at once. Note, the endcaps are a bit delicate and extremely expensive to replace!
I recently made a 4 hour trip home after picking up a new kayak while using the following equipment for the first time: Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack, Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs - J-Style, Thule Watersports Adapter for Aeroblade/Aeroblade Edge Bars and Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs. I'm impressed with the performance of all of those components.

Adarac Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel with Aluminum Crossbars - 500 lbs
I installed the rack this morning with no issues. Simple process that took about an hour only because I am picky about everything being square, even and perfectly placed. I was surprised that the unit was as heavy duty as it is. I was expecting something much lighter in gauge of steel. It sits very sturdily on the truck with zero movement. Even my wife thinks it looks rather stylish (neither of us wanted the work rack look). Thanks for the great service and follow up after the sale to let me know it had shipped, you received notification of delivery, and how I liked the product and install. I've learned through experiences that this is the kind of service one can expect from etrailer.com.
I bought the Adarac Aluminum Crossbar Series Ladder Rack a year ago to use for hauling kayaks and it has worked well. It is sturdy, was easy to install, and looks decent on my truck. The paint has held up well. I was able to haul my kayaks from Pennsylvania to Florida and back with no problem. People have stopped me in parking lots asking about the ladder rack. I got a quality product at a reasonable price. The only negative thing I'll say is the ladder rack whistles sometimes. This happens when you get a strong crosswind but the noise is tolerable.

Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Side Mount - Steel - 250 lbs
I ordered this product hoping for something less involved than drilling through the bed like a normal latter rack. I wanted something I could eventually take off when work was done and repurpose the vehicle. The first issue, a minor one, was that I had to find and buy hex heads large enough to install the rack bolts. They are massive. A small pain to find which delayed installation. Once I started working and screwing the bolts, both of the bottom plates machining were off. The eyelets used to hold the bolts in place on the masts were at different widths from the bottom eyelets on the plates. Hoping for the best I screwed them as best I could because I didn't have time to order a new rack and install it. As I tried to tighten the bolts at the adequate height with out slippage occuring. Once it was tight, I realized I had bent the bed frame. The post I had at the rear of would require retightening the clamp periodically after taking a rubber mallet to scoot it back into place to keep it from falling over. I've long been finished with my job that requires a ladder rack so I have no need for it. I can't possibly sale it knowing the manufacturing defects. Maybe someone will need it in a pinch. I love the concept but poor machining did it in.
I bought this ladder rack to haul my canoe, which is hanging above my 2016 Nissan Frontier King Cab in the first picture. Since I have a tanneau cover and the Utili-Track system on the bed I had to trim 5/16" off the top of the block on the stop bolts to get them to fit between the rail and the top of the bed. If you don't have a tanneau cover these will fit the Frontiers 6 foot bed without any modifications at the very ends of the rail. I did add a 1/8" sheet of hard rubber to the foot of each rack for better grip to the bed, spaced a half inch from the edge to clear the curve in the bed. The Nissan bed has some indentations that will require a filler block for the foot to rest on near the tailgate. I had a 3/4" chunk of hard plastic that fit perfectly. What I like best about these ladder racks is that they are easy to install, after the initial set-up, and easy to remove. I didn't want anything that was permanently mounted or requiring holes to be drilled in the bed. These are exactly what I was looking for. I haven't taken the canoe out yet but I will have no worries with these racks. I highly recommend them.

T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Full-Size Pickups - Fixed Mount - 1,000 lbs
The quality of the Thule T-Rac Pro 2 is very good and will last forever (never go back to steel). I have a short-bed GMC 2500HD and the storage space overhead for ladders, aluminum planks, 12 - 16 foot boards, etc. is a game-changer. However, I ordered extra load stops and M8 knobs direct from Thule and they did not include the screws to mount the stops (don't even list them in their catalog). I deduct 2 stars for Thule support being a pain
Really nice heavy duty rack. I was able to mount it on my Pace Edwards full metal Jackrabbit bed cover with Explorer rails. Just had to drill two holes in each mounting plate and grind some carriage bolts to fit in the slots. One complaint... I don't understand why one top rail has an opening in the slot for installing accessories and the other top rail does not. I have to take the end cap off to install anything.

Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack - Black Powder Coated Aluminum - 500 lbs
So far, so good. It arrived on time. The only things broken were two of the plastic "insert" pieces that go between the rails, but thankfully I only have a 5 1/2' bed, so I didn't really need them. I had it installed by the mechanics I was taking my truck to for other work and they said it installed pretty easily and one of the mechanics is going to get one for his own personal truck. We practiced setting it up and taking it down before I left. I can definitely do this on my own. I absolutely LOVE this product. I didn't want something that "whistled in the wind" or created drag every day even when I wasn't hauling the kayaks, so this is perfect. Thank you!
Great product. I use it to haul kayaks and lumber. It's surprisingly strong and sturdy. I put 300 lbs of lumber on it and never heard so much as a squeak. Installation was straightforward. I'll definitely buy another one for my next truck.

DeeZee Customizable Truck Bed Ladder Rack with Tie-Downs - Side Mount - 200 lbs
Delivery was fast as usual. The installation does take a couple hours and is much easier with a second set of hands. I have a drop in bed liner on my F150 so I did have to do some cutting but my oscillating tool made that a quick modification. Make sure to use the no seize on the bolts so they don't heat up when cranking them into place. Lastly, there are NO drain holes in the bottom of the tubes and believe me they do fill with water and ice in cold temps. I drilled two 1/2 in. holes in the sides at the bottom so they can drain but if I realized there were no weep holes I would have drilled a hole in the bottom of each before installation. After drilling the hole, make sure to coat with a primer and some paint to prevent rusting. Other than what I encountered they will serve their purpose and seem good overall.
I’ve been using this ladder rack for a year now and it has stood the test of time. I love the ability to remove the arms when I’m not using them so my tonneau cover can be closed. Highly recommended for the occasional need for a tough ladder rack.

Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack - Black Powder Coated Aluminum - 500 lbs
Very pleased. Exactly what we expected. Only issue is the driver side back plate that is glued on came off and is gone.
I love that I don’t have to find a place in my garage to store this rack, and remove and replace it with each use. It’s fairly easy to load and tie down my canoe single-handed. The loaded rack is quiet and feels secure at highway speeds and on rough roads. Set up and take-down is quick and easy, and the bed-rail look is unobtrusive. The product has met my expectations in every way. Thanks.
