Whether you're loading cargo or you're in transit, these holders work to keep your tie-down and tow strap hooks from detaching from their anchor points. These universal holders can be mounted on S-hooks within seconds.
To keep your hook from detaching from the anchor point, you would usually maintain tension while the other end is secured. But with these holders, keeping the hook in place while securing your load is no longer a problem.
To attach a holder, stretch the opening furthest away from the tab over the tip of one of the S-hooks on your strap. Slide the holder down the shaft of the hook. Next, attach the hook to an anchor point on your truck or trailer. Once the hook has been connected, pull the tab and stretch the opening closest to the tab over the tip of the hook. The hook will now stay put as you anchor the other end of your tie-down. Once in place, you can rest assured that the hooks won't fall off of the anchor points, even if your strap goes slack.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Pro Grip Hook Up. This is a tie down strap hook holder, part number is 317-900200.The Pro Grip Hook Up is going to solve a very, very common problem, with a very quick, simple and easy to use solution. If you have much experience at all with a cam buckle style or ratchet strap, even change you'll know often times you'll hook up one side, but as you go to the other side, that's going to fall off if you don't hold tension on it the whole time. It can be very frustrating, sometimes turning strapping something down into a two person job. With the Hook Up, we're just going to slide that right around, rotate that around and then that exact same situation you see just pull it over the hook, that's going to do an excellent job of keeping our hook held in place, we won't have to worry about it falling off while we're trying to get the other side secured. As you can see as I'm routing my strap to the other side, I don't have to worry about keeping tension on it. You have both my hands free to get at my strap where I want it. Now it's kind of up to you if you want to use two per strap or just one.
It comes in a four pack, so you do have four of them available. I think it could be just as useful just to put it on the end you're trying to keep in place, because over here you can hold it while you tension it down. But since it is sold in a four pack we can put one on both sides, we won't have to worry about either hook coming undone. Now while this isn't the exact situation you'll probably be using this since this is a safety chain, you can see even with the larger hooks, there's plenty of stretch in the material to allow it to go around. And a common problem we have all the time would be the chain falling out of the hook, and as you can see, that's going to do a really good job of preventing that for you.And that'll complete our look at the Pro Grip Hook Up, part number 317-900200.
