If you got some heavy stuff with wheels on it, whether it's a generator, a scooter, or a mower, or snowblower, the Reese cargo carrier with the ramp is gonna make it a lot easier to load and unload those heavier stuff. Right here is what's gonna activate the ramp or at least just allow it to go down, this little pull pin. We're gonna pull this and then this bracket goes up like that and we're gonna fold out just like this. Then we could take our stuff and wheel it on out. Everything that you do plan on wheeling up here, there's gonna be a best way of doing it. I think this was the best for our generator.
And this generator is so heavy. It's like 230 pounds or something like that, which is a lot. But the ramp definitely helps it, 'cause I am not lifting this thing up by myself. So it makes a two-man job a one-man job with our ramp. The ramp is 48 inches long and 31 1/2 inches wide.
You just wanna measure the width of the wheels on whatever you're loading up to make sure it's gonna work with it. And the way it's designed, I do like how the hinge goes like this because this is gonna be a very, very solid part. It's also made of steel. So even when I walk up on it, you don't really see a whole lot of flex. It's very, very rigid.
Here's how we fold the ramp up. We just take this little strap here, which is nice so they added that, makes it really easy, and fold this up and then fold this down, using the strap the whole time. And then we take this bracket over, put it like that, take our pin back. Whenever we fold this in, it's just gonna change the interior length and width minus 1/4 inch, so it's not really changing it a whole lot. So you can still pretty much use the whole thing when it's all folded up.
Let's do some measurements. From the base of the platform to the top, it's gonna be about 26 inches or so. Last time I actually just backed this thing up and walked on the carrier, but I'm gonna try this way, this time. It all just depends on what you really have. All I know is that, yeah, that was a little hard to push it up there, but my vehicle's a little tall but also it's literally impossible for me to be able to lift this thing up and get it onto the carrier nice and easy. So making it a one-man job is definitely worth it for me. And that'll do it for a look at the Reese cargo carrier with the ramp..

Nice strong product, plan on using it for a trailer i bought that was missing the ramp.
Good product. Gave 4 stars since one of the holes arrived bent and I had to get it straight with a rubber mallet.
I have an alternate use for the two ramps I purchased but the quality and price are excellent.
