Can a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Tow a 2015 Cougar Fifth Wheel Trailer that weighs 9,600 lbs
Question:
Just bought a 2015 5th wheel cougar 7600 total dry weight. I am driving a 2013 GMC 1500 1/2 ton 4x4 gross towing weight is 9600 lbs. My question is do need to beef up my rear suspension for the weight. I just sold my 27ft travel trailer and it only dropped 1/2 inch when loaded.

First thing you want to do is consult the owners manual of your 2013 GMC 1500 Sierra and be sure not to exceed the towing capacity listed there with your 2015 Cougar Fifth Wheel Trailer that weighs 9,600 lbs when loaded. From the research I did it looks like you would be over the capacity so I would not recommend you tow that trailer with your truck.
Suspension enhancement like the Timbren System part # TGMRCK15S do not give you additional towing capacity. They only help your truck tow it's current towing capacity as safe as possible.
I attached an FAQ on suspension enhancements for you to check out as well.
