Best Inno Roof Rack For 2017 Acura MDX With Naked Roof

Question:
On my Acura MDX there’s a plastic piece of molding that goes into the Channel where they would’ve put existing roof rails when you bought the car if you wanted that option. Will this roof rack be OK if the rubber pad sits right on that piece it’s not a strong piece. It just covers the channel which is about inch and a half wide an inch deep also wanted to know if the THULE accessories will fit into the channel of the inno.

Hello William, thanks for reaching out. The Inno Roof Rack # IN76WR is the correct fit for the 2017 Acura MDX. It is fine for the roof rack and pad to sit on the rubber molding. This is how it was designed. The tower also rests on the roof and is clamped to the door jamb, so the whole setup is plenty secure and strong.
Also, you can indeed use a Thule accessory with this Inno roof rack. The aero crossbars with top channels are a universal design. So you will be able to use virtually any clamp-on to T-slot roof rack accessory regardless of brand.
