Does Yakima Jetstream Crossbar have Enough Capacity for a Roof Top Tent

Question:

I’m planning to install Yakima HD tracks, skyline towers with Landing pad 26 and Jetstream crossbars on my truck bed rails. I can find info that seems to say that capacity is 220lbs, does that refer to dynamic or static weight limit? Wondering if this setup is sufficient for a RTT. Or would I be better to have Yakima HD crossbars if those would increase max weight limit? Thank you!

Hey Michael, that capacity is the dynamic capacity so what that means for you is that it would easily have the static capacity to be used with a tent setup.

Hey Michael, how did your truck bed rack setup with the JetStream crossbars and HD tracks turn out for your rooftop tent? It’d be great to hear if the static capacity worked as expected. Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar build.
