My Winch Is Tripping The Breaker - Could A Bad Bridge/Rectifier Be The Cause?
Updated 05/03/2024 | Published 05/02/2024 >
Question:
If my winch trips the breaker when I plug it in, would this bridge/rectifer be the likely cause for that? One of the prongs had some black/burn residue when I took it apart to examine.

Hey Joshua. Yes, the bridge/rectifier could definitely cause a tripped breaker if something has gone bad. if you are seeing burned areas this is definitely not a good sign and is likely an indicator that the bridge assembly needs to be replaced. The Replacement Bridge Assembly # DL92QR will fit all of the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm AC-powered electric winches.
