What Does an E5 Error Code Mean on a Progressive Dynamics 1800 Transfer Switch
Question:
I have an E5 error on mine. Shows 0volts on screen, but 13.6v is measured on the 12v input via a multimeter. How do you reset it nothing inside to reset and I turned it off for 2 hours and it’s still showing battery fault with 0v but it’s not correct as 13.6v is on the 12v input. Thoughts?

Michael, the E5 error on your Progressive Dynamics 1800 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD44FR means there is an internal error, which basically means its toast and needs to be replaced, unfortunately.
I know you're probably not thrilled to have to buy a new one, but that is what needs to be done. You might consider reaching out to Progressive Dynamics and see if it can be covered under warranty to hopefully save you some cheddar.
