The FatCat Evo Yakima ski carrier part # Y03095 is considered to be the premium option over the Freshtrack part # Y03092. One difference is that the Evo has a more aerodynamic shape which will create less wind noise and minimize fuel mileage loss.
The mounting hardware that attaches the carrier to the load bars is also a little nicer with the Evo as it uses a metal rubber coated strap that wraps around instead of a claw with a t-bolt like the Freshtrack.
