Can You Install An RV Air Conditioner Unit On The Roof Of A Mail Truck
Question:
need a unit to put on top of mail truck. I dont want to use auto a/c. will I need an inverter. I do have an ecoflow delta 1800. any suggestions would be helpful. and if it works I know a whole bunch of carriers that might want one.

To be completely honest with you an RV air conditioner will not be a viable option on a mail truck. The amount of batteries you would need to run the AC would fill the vehicle and would most likely overload it at that point.
The only option that would be feasible would be to use a roof vent with a 12v fan like the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-05301K. This vent has a rain shield lid that will allow you to use it while on the road or during inclement weather. It does require a minimum 1-1/8" thick roof so you may need to build a frame to secure the vent to that will thicken the roof up enough. This vent could be powered directly by the vehicle battery which is charged by the alternator so you don't have to use an auxiliary power source.
