Question:

Need to confirm if the Thule Motion Rooftop 22 Cubic Foot will my a 2023 Mini Countryman, more concerned about the weight and some size. Im looking for a larger capacity cargo carrier. I have the racks on the car now. I had purchased a carrier from Mini but this is to small. Need as much room as I can get for my vehicle.

According to my information a raised rail rook rack, like the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG215, on your 2023 Mini Countryman will measure 52" from the front crossbar to the line where your roof and hatch meet. The Thule Motion XT XXL 22 cu ft # TH629906 requires at least 55" for you to open up your hatch so while this will technically "fit" on the crossbars, I recommend going with the Thule Motion XT XL 18 cu ft # TH629806 instead since it requires 51-1/4" of clearance.

The XXL weighs in at 55 lbs while the XL weighs in at 46 lbs so you'll subtract that from the 165 lb weight rating of your roof rack when it comes to loading cargo. If you go with the recommended XL this means you'll still be able to open up your rear hatch and you'll have 119 lbs of cargo you can safely load on your roof.
