Recommended Roof Rack and Cargo Carrying Options for 2013 Honda CR-V

Im thinking about purchasing a cargo roof rack for my 2013 Honda CRV. I have the factory installed flush bars on either side of the roof. I need the crossbars as well as a carrier to attach to the roof. I appreciate information and your advice. Thank you

The ThuleSquare Bar system you mentioned would be a good start. A roof rack featuring the square crossbars would consist of:

Once the crossbars are installed, you will have an excellent attachment point for numerous accessories, like the Thule Canyon XT cargo basket, part # TH859XT or the Thule Pulse 14 cubic foot Cargo Box, part # TH614. Both the basket and the cargo box are confirmed fits for your CR-V, and will not interfere with the operation of your rear hatch.

To make accessing roof top storage easier and safer, you might also be interested in a tire step like part # TH2100. I have linked you to some an FAQ article you might find helpful as well as to some product demonstration videos.

The rack itself has a 165 lb capacity, but you will need to check the owners manual or with Honda to determine the carrying capacity of the roof and abide by whichever capacity is lowest.
