Swagman Original Bike Rack For 13 Foot Scamp Trailer

Question:

We have a 13 ft Scamp trailer with a 2 inch hitch. We need a bike rack. Which Swagman rack is more heavy duty, the S64152-2 for 3 bikes or the S64400 for 4 bikes? Also, why the 15 inch clearance requirement? The hitch on the Scamp is about 12 inches off the ground.

Both of these bike racks are great but if you plan on just bringing 1 to 3 bikes the Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack # S64152-2 is good choice, allowing up to 35 pounds per bike. The Swagman Original 4 Bike Rack S64400 is the same rack as the 3 bike option but with an added allowance of up to 35 more pounds. Both are fine choices but the Swagman Original 4 Bike Rack is going to be the option you are most likely looking for allowing for the most weight and bikes to be carried.

Additionally a Pro Series Anti-Rattle Device for 2" x 2" Trailer Hitch # PS63091 would be something to look into as well as trailers produce quite a bit of rattling and movement especially with accessories attached.
