Changing From Wire Rope to Synthetic Rope for Superwinch Terra 45 ATV Winch

We can get you set up to replace the wire rope on your Superwinch Terra 45 # SW1145220 with synthetic rope, but you'll need a hawse fairlead in order to so because synthetic rope with a roller fairlead can damage the winch as it runs the risk of getting caught in the corners.

A hawse fairlead mounts to the tabs on the winch mounting plate so you'll need to measure the distance between them, and will likely be able to use the Replacement Hawse Fairlead for Bulldog Winch ATV Winch # BDW20089 (4-13/16" distance between mounting holes) or the Replacement Hawse Fairlead for Bulldog Winch Trailer or Utility Winch # BDW30006 (5-7/8" distance between mounting holes). If you have a different mounting dimension, I have added a link below to our entire selection of hawse fairleads.

Then for the rope itself, you can use the Replacement Synthetic Rope for Bulldog Winch Trailer and ATV/UTV Winches # BDW20095, which is the correct size at 50' x 1-1/4" diameter.
