Question:
Hello, I am curious what are your thoughts on trying this generator with the Coleman Mach 10 NDQ AC unit? In my garage which is 85F I saw 1055watts when running the AC in low and the TV on. My meter might not have been fast enough to catch the peak. Everything off and only the AC was between 850-900watts Data sheet says: RUNNING WATTS COOLING DESERT CONDITION 100 F. DB 72 F. WB INDOOR, 120F. DB OUTDOOR 1625watt RUNNING WATTS COOLING A.R.I. STANDARD CONDITION 80 F. DB 67 F. WB INDOOR, 95 F. DB OUTDOOR 1350watts I couldnt locate a startup power draw but it does state the electrical rating is 115 VAC, 60hz 1 Phase. Does this generator meet those requirements? Does this

I spoke with Firman who is an industry leader in generators and the OEM of our etrailer line. They recommended using the BTU rating of 13,500 and multiplying this by .3 to get the starting watt requirements. Therefore, I recommend the 4,500-Watt Portable Generator part # 333-0004.
Please keep in mind that the Coleman Mach 10 has a heat pump so the power requirements are much higher than most other standard RV air conditioners.
