Replacement Tires for 7-14.5 Mobile Home Tires on Utility Trailer

Question:

This was useable in Oregon but not in Washington state where I must get it inspected before I can register it. I believe that I can still use the axle and wheels as long as I replace the tires here in Washington. Is this true?- I have been told yes but can you confirm please If this is in fact true, what tires can I put on the wheels. The size MH mobile home rated tires on it now are 7-14.5 with an overall diameter of approx 26 Ill probably use this trailer 5 to 6 times /year so I am looking to keep costs down Can you help?

We can't speak to individual state laws on things like these, but we do have some options for you that can be used to replace your old tires that will hopefully get you through inspection. You can use 8-14.5MH tires in place of your existing 7-14.5MH tires. It is important to note that these are mobile home tires and are designed for one-time use.

We have the Kenda K391M Mobile Home Tire, 8-14.5MH, Ply G # AM10327 which has a maximum capacity of 3,070 pounds at 116 psi. These would work on your split wheels assuming they're 6" wide.

These tires have an outer diameter when inflated of 27.7 inches and fit on a rim size 14-1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide. Since these aren't designed for more than 1 use, you may want to consider swapping the wheels and tires for some that are more suited to even sporadic use. If you can let me know the trailer hub's bolt pattern I can help you locate an appropriate wheel/tire combo for this trailer.
