Installing Metal Replacement Mounting Bracket for Tekonsha Primus IQ
Updated 12/30/2019 | Published 12/28/2019 >
Question:
The Primus iq has no holes in the side, so how does it stay in the bracket? Im looking to replace the plastic mount that rattles and buzzes like crazy in cooler weather, but I just cant tell for sure how this one works.

In order to use the Replacement Mounting Kit Bracket # 5280 you'll just want to use small/short screws that can be screwed into the spots where the clips on the # 6927 would normally fit on the side of the Primus IQ # TK90160. I've attached a picture of the side of the Primus IQ that show the spots where the clip on bracket would attach, and you'll want to attach the # 5280 mounting bracket with screws into those holes. The different holes on the # 5280 will allow you to mount it flat or movable up and down.
