Best Roof Rack for 2020 Kia Telluride With Naked Roof

Question:

What roof rack would you recommend for my 2020 Kia Telluride? I see there are a couple different options and am looking for the best one and if I can get a lot of space on the crossbars that'd be best so I can use it to mount more than one thing at a time. I don't have any rails or anything on the roof, it's just bare.

The best roof rack for your 2020 Kia Telluride is from Yakima because its 60 inch crossbars give you the most crossbar space to mount accessories, the bars are extremely quiet and they give your Telluride a refined look.

This roof rack is made up of:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426 (Black)
- BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y00146
- BaseClip Fit # Y06125 AND # Y06165
- Same Key System Lock Cores (Optional) # Y07204

The 60 inch JetStream crossbars that go with this rack means you are going to have more room than with other roof rack to maximize the number of accessories and size of cargo that you can carry. The size of the crossbars is a big part of why this rack is the best option for your Telluride, but the fact that you will be able to drive to your destination in peace shouldn't be discounted. The aero shape of the JetStream bars, along with their built-in WindRidges, ensures that this roof rack minimizes the wind noise that other types of crossbars can create.

The JetStream crossbars have T-slots, which is pretty standard, but unlike other bars, the T-slots in the JetStream bars are actually easy to use. That's because the bars have rubber "SmartFill" strips in them which means to access the T-slot you are not going to have to cut sections of the rubber strip out of that slot; you can simply push the strips in and access the T-slot that way.

Additionally, I do recommend adding the I do recommend adding the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores to lock the roof rack and help protect your investment. I have added links to video reviews of the roof rack and locks which I also recommend checking out.

Does Yakima have complete kits for the roof racks, or is it all alacart?

Yakima Roof racks as well as other brands are almost all pieces that are a la carte. The fit kit is really the defining factor of the fit for a specific vehicle. If you use our fit guide you will find the confirmed fits for specific vehicles which will help with the fit kit, foot/towers needed, crossbar size and style, and locks to secure them if desired.

@JasonS Where do you get the instructions, with measurements, for what parts go where on the vehicle? I ordered my parts from several different places because no one place seemed to have all the needed parts in stock.

@Mark There should be instructions with the feet and fit kits. If you didn't get instructions with any of them then you can put your vehicle info into our fitguide and the instructions for each should be located on each product page.

Can you tell me why the base clips are different sizes and which one goes where? There is a BC125 and a BC165 size. I assume one the front and rear require the different sizes. Which goes where? Thank you for your help.

You are correct - the front and rear of the roof require different BaseClip sets. The BaseClip # Y06125 is for the front and # Y06165 is for the rear.
