Easiest To Install Trailer Hitch for a 2019 Toyota RAV4
Updated 05/09/2019 | Published 05/08/2019 >
Question:
I noticed that the Draw-Tite Class III hitch and the Curt hitch both required me to temporarily lower the exhaust system. The Draw-Tite Class II does not mention that. Is that an oversight or is it not required? Also, I would like to confirm that the Draw-Tite Class II will fit a 2019 hybrid as well as the gas 2019.Rav4. Thanks

The easiest to install trailer hitch for your 2019 Toyota RAV4 is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13416 which should only take a novice around 30 minutes. The reason for this is because it is the only option that the manufacturer does not require the muffler to be lowered away from the vehicle for installation. The comparable Draw-Tite Receiver Hitches both state that the muffler must be lowered away from the vehicle for installation. I also recommend you go with the 2" receiver tube even if not towing as this will allow for a greater amount of accessories to be used. I have attached an install photo for you as well.
The Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch part # 36675 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13416 will fit all models of the 2019 Toyota RAV4 which includes both hybrid and gas only models.
