Will Converting Dodge Dakota to Electric Fan Increase Fuel Mileage

Question:
i tow an 18 foot boat gross weight of boat an trailer is 3300 pounds. the oem fan seems sufficient so far. however i would like to improve non toowing fuel efficiency and protect engine and tranny while towing. would like recommendation for an efan to equal oem clutch fan and an opinion if efans improve fuel economy. thank you

Electric fans do improve fuel mileage and power since they allow the accessory belt drive to turn with less resistance. I did the same conversion on an older Camaro years ago and it cooled better, improved mileage, and power. You'll have to measure your current shroud to determine what the best fan setup would be. The Flex-a-lite 15" Black Magic Xtreme Electric Radiator Fan with Shroud # FLX180 measures 21-1/2" wide x 17-1/2" tall x 4-3/16" deep and can pull 3,300 CFM so it would be a great option assuming it matches your current shroud dimensions.
