Can I use my installed double din stereo monitor instead of the monitor it comes with?

I do have a license plate mounted backup camera that has the ability to work with an aftermarket stereo but the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System part # HM50002 is designed specifically for the monitor included with the kit so I cannot confirm it will work with your aftermarket stereo.

For a license plate mounted backup camera that can be used on select aftermarket stereos you will want to look at the Rear View Safety License Plate Backup Camera part # RVS-778. This camera system comes with an adapter that contains RCA cables which are a common plug used on the back of aftermarket stereos. However, your aftermarket stereo would have to have the ability to display video in order for the camera system to work.

The Rear View Safety License Plate Backup Camera is of a much higher quality than the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera. I have attached a review video for you as well as a photo of it being displayed on an aftermarket stereo.
