There are a number of differences between Curt A and Q fifth wheel hitches such as the A20 # C16044 and Q20 # C16530-16021, both of which fit in the factory puck system of a 2018 Ram 2500.

There are a couple large differences, one of which is the warranty; the A20 has a limited lifetime warranty while the Q20's limited lifetime warranty only applies to the hitch legs while the hitch itself has a 10-year limited warranty. Additionally, the Q20 features a spherical axial bearing that allows 360 degree movement of the hitch head, which is something the A20 does not have.

The Curt A20 # C16044 that I referenced in the previous answer is a fixed hitch and not a sliding hitch. There is a sliding A model of Curt fifth wheel for a 2018 Ram 2500, which would be # C16521; because it is a slider it would require Adapter Rails # C16022 to fit the puck system of a 2018 Ram 2500.
