I do have a solution for you, however the Yakima HitchSki Snowboard and Ski Carrier # Y02418 referenced in your question is designed to work with hitch mounted bike racks that feature a dual-arm design and a 4-bike capability. Because the Swagman Trailhead # S63380 that you mentioned has a single-arm design, the HitchSki will not work well with the carrier.
To use the HitchSki, I instead recommend looking at a dual-arm carrier like the Yakima RidgeBack 4 Bike Rack # Y02458. This is a really nice hanging-style rack that can hold up to 4 bikes with a total weight of 150 pounds. It features easy to use release buttons that will allow the arms to fold down for storage and anti-sway cradles to provide bike stability. With this particular carrier, you will also be able to use the Yakimia HitchSki to transport your snowboards or skis.
