The 2016 Mini Cooper convertible is not considered a fit for trunk-mount bike racks. There is no way to properly attach the carrier. Yakima, Hollywood Racks and Thule show no fits for your convertible vehicle for a trunk-mount bike rack; only the hard top model has trunk racks confirmed to work.

We DO offer hitch racks that could work. If your convertible is NOT the S Series or the John Cooper Works version you could install hitch # 306-X7290 and then use a lightweight 1-1/4-inch 2-bike rack like the inexpensive Kuat Beta # B202-114.
