The Kat's Heaters Engine Oil Dipstick Heater part # KH15200 is a universal fit item that will work on a variety of different makes and models. There are only two requirements for the dipstick heater to work. The engine oil dipstick opening must be 1/4" in diameter or larger and at least 5 inches of the heating element must be submerged in the oil. The heating element on the above dipstick is 23" long. As most diesel truck engine's use a dipstick much longer than this, I recommend using a magnetic engine oil heater like the Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater part # KH1190
The magnetic heater attaches to the bottom of your oil pan and will provide a 20 square inch heating surface. The magnetic heater can also be used on a variety of other components such as engine block, battery hold down, or transmission pan. The magnetic heater will do a much better job of heating your trucks engine oil than the dipstick heater.
I have attached a review video of the magnetic heater for you as well.
